To protect snapping turtle hatchlings, we won’t mow the grass from late August to late October along the North Loop where turtle nests have been spotted. This is part of a pilot project started last year by our biologists.

Woke up in a winter wonderland! #GatineauPark is transitioning to winter mode. The season has not officially launched, but this means: 🥾Walking is not permitted ski trails ❄️Snowshoes required on snowshoe trails 🐶Winter hiking & dogs only permitted on 4 official hiking trails

Preparation work of the ski base started today in #GatineauPark ! ❄️ Although none of the trails are recommended for skiing yet, please note that walking and cycling on the parkways is now prohibited.
