Hi
@petergould
. I am a filmmaker & a Youtuber based in India. I run a channel called Chalchitra Talks where I recommend films to watch every week and also get guests for the same. We have made 94 episodes until now, and I wanted to invite you and Vince for the 100th episode.
As dreamlike as it still feels, I have pinched myself enough times to confirm this actually happened. Today I recorded the 100th episode of Chalchitra Talks [
@ChalchitraT
] with
@petergould
, co-creator & showrunner of Better Call Saul. Ep out on 13 sept! ๐

Hi! Starting 31st March, HBO content will be unavailable on Disney+ Hotstar. You can continue enjoying Disney+ Hotstarโs vast library of content spanning over 100,000 hours of TV Shows and Movies in 10 languages and coverage of major global sporting events.
Very grateful for being able to make Chalchitra Talks exactly how we wanted to make it. I was streaming a few days back, and got emotional in the middle of the streaming thinking -- I am so glad Chalchitra Talks exists -- a platform where we can nerd out and feel okay doing so.
Chalchitra Talks just crossed one million channel views. Shaayad itni koi badi baat nahi hai, but I would like to quote Preeti Sabarwal from Chak De India, โBadi baat hai, mere liyeโ.
Thank you for the support guys. :)
Here are 5 film recommendations by Jitendra Kumar aka
@Farjigulzar
aka Jeetu Bhaiya from TVF's Kota Factory. This is Part 1/3. :)

It took us more than a year to make this happen. But it happened. We have pinched ourselves enough times to know that this happened. We just finished recording an episode with our favourite Youtuber in the entire world.

Hi Twitter friends. I made a new short film called 'Timezoned'. A tale about timezones and long distance relationships. This is also India's first desktop movie. My goal is to have Searching's director Aneesh Chaganty watch it.
Please retweet. :)

If you follow Chalchitra Talks, you guys are in for a treat. The next few guest episodes on the channel are with Colin & Samir, Abhishek Chaubey, Shaunak Sen, Bejoy Nambiar and Sudhir Mishra.
Can't wait for you guys to watch these. :)
I have been reading the feedbacks people have sent in. Somehow I feel, if I meet any subscriber over a cup of coffee, we'll just end up clicking. There is a shared passion. This is exactly the kind of people I wanted to create for. So proud of the Chalchitra Talks audience.
And it's here! My new podcast series called Second Last Supper. In episode one, I had a superb discussion about productivity, life and self-improvement with
@RomanSaini
, the co-founder of
@unacademy
.
Here's the link to the episode :
The Breaking Bad crossover that I want to see in Better Call Saul is one where Walter White casually takes Skyler and their son to Los Pollos Hermanos for a meal, after a stressful day at school on a normal weekday. They eat the chicken, pay the bill and leave. That's it.
Have always pinged
@anupamachopra
for advice but this was the first time I met her in person ever since we started
@ChalchitraT
. So much to learn from her! ๐๐ฌ๐
I have a lot of gratitude for all YouTubers who come on Chalchitra Talks and share our episodes in their YouTube community.
Itโs always a big deal when guests share things nicely, when they give it a personal touch. Really helps us grow ๐๐

Hi
@AliAbdaal
. Greetings from India! I run a Youtube channel called Chalchitra Talks [
@ChalchitraT
] where we recommend movies, books, podcasts, poetry etc. I really love your work & I wanted to invite you for a guest episode where we can take some amazing reccos from you.
I have always believed that when people speak about things they truly love, they speak poetry. You can see it in their eyes. Bumped into someone recently who told me the impact Chalchitra Talks has had over their lives and saw them speak poetry.
It's utterly satisfying.
And it's live! Chalchitra Talks with
@RajeevMasand
where he recommends 5 films on loneliness. He also recommended my favorite 'Somewhere'. Yay!
Do retweet guys! It's a big one for us. :)

Was rewatching Rang De Basanti on Netflix last night. For me, it has the best opening titles from a Bollywood movie, with the most perfectly blended soundtrack, at least from last 20 years.
It has its problems but in regard to craft and technicalities, there is a lot of admire about Animal, particularly in the first half. Streaming about it tomorrow!
I just finished editing a 12-chapter course I have made on Networking/How to approach people. This is a paid course, and it is expensive too as I have put out everything that I have learnt in last 8 years of my life in this course. Releasing it online this Sunday. :)
Here's our special guest episode where
@Svetlana25
, director of content at
@mubiindia
, recommends some important documentaries we must watch. A very powerful set of recommendations. Do not miss!

@ChalchitraT
I have a theory - if you sit with someone for long enough, they'll eventually tell you a story where they were scammed over UPI payments. Every person has at least one UPI scam story..
A couple of people messaged me that they cried a little while watching this ep. Not to make it sound clickbait-ish, but what could have been ep 1 of the series, ended up becoming ep 81. Talked about a guy called Richard Linklater in this one.

This Wednesday, weโre launching a new product of Chalchitra Talks. It is so massive, that if successful, it will make rest of our works look like a footnote.
Really excited about this one! :)
I find it fascinating that there are a surprising number of people out there who just know of Chalchitra Talks because of Instagram. They don't know that there is a Youtube channel. Instagram is their end game. Earlier it used to make me feel sad. Now I find it to be fascinating.
I always find it extremely satisfying when I get to know of artists from the industry who follow Chalchitra Talks. We recently reached out to someone whom I really admire and he told us, โAlready a subscriber. Seen all your videosโ.
Things like these are really motivating. ๐ฅบ
And it's live!! Here's the first episode of our new series 'Kahaani Quickies' where we had
@ChhotaThalaiva
and
@EightyPackAbs
do a jamming session, and make a story for a short film in 30 minutes! Kaafi wild discussion hai. Do watch and retweet :D

It's live! Episode 3 of our podcast Second Last Supper, where I talked to

about her journey as the founder of

Guys. Can we take a moment to appreciate how perfect Barry Season 4 is? Bill Hader is hitting a home-run on every ball as a writer director and an actor.
I just finished watching S4 E4. It is impeccable. Too much finesse. No false notes.
I just wish this video reaches out to every content creator in India because it brings in so much more perspective to how this game is played. Our most special episode yet.

Working on a course on independent filmmaking. Will be putting out everything I have learnt in last 10 years.
What will be unique about this course is that I'll be actually making a short film from scratch & putting it out as the final chapter of the course. :)
(1/6) Hi
@JesperKyd
. I am a filmmaker and Youtuber based in India. I have been an admirer of your work since I heard the soundtrack of Hitman games for the first time. And I was so amazed when I got to know that you had also done the incredible score of Tumbbad.
Cont..
I am beyond impressed by House of the Dragon. It just keeps getting better. Making a show like this after being knocked down to the ground with GOT Season 8..it's quite something. Mad props to the HBO executives who green-lit this.
GRRM is the co-creator of HOTD and it shows.
It's satisfying when you sometimes send cold emails to people asking them to come as a guest on Chalchitra Talks, only to have them tell you that they already know about the channel & have been following the work. :)
Quite excited about the Kunal Kemmu episode we are releasing on Chalchitra Talks this weekend. I think it is going to stay with you for a while. Something oddly beautiful about the energy of the episode. ๐
I am starting off with something new. It's basically a new series in which I'll be talking about filmmakers, and giving out 3 new film recommendations every week. The idea is to do this weekly, for the rest of my life. This is episode one. Do Retweet! :)
Aziz Ansari is such an underrated filmmaker. I remember Barry Jenkins also tweeting something like this a few years back. But needed to mention it again. Master of None Season 2 is pure poetry.
New episode of Chalchitra Talks' Kahaani Quickies releasing next week where Vikramaditya Motwane [
@VikramMotwane
] & Vasan Bala [
@Vasan_Bala
] made a story of a sci-fi thriller in 30 minutes! So so excited for this. :D :D
Last analogy about cancel culture. Imagine this. You are in a movie theatre. A couple sitting a row ahead of you is talking. So you, getting disturbed, shush the couple. And you shush them in a bad way that others take notice. Now just remember this..
.
@KapilSharmaK9
we are so glad that you liked the snippet from our podcast with
@HumorouslyVipul
. It would be an honour to have you on our podcast as well.. We would love to hear more about your amazing journey. Please accept my invitation...๐๐๐
Just finished shooting ep 3 of our new podcast Second Last Supper with
@anupamachopra
! Had a lovely conversation about her journey as the founder of
@FilmCompanion
. Episode out soon! Stay tuned! :))
I have reached a staged in life where I have rewatched Moneyball more times than The Social Network, making it my most revisited film of all time.
And the best part, I still understand nothing about Baseball.
Just realised I have made 600 entries in my journal until now, a habit which I formed in September 2016. Tried to do it everyday but I think it averages to one entry in every 3 days (approx).
Feels nice to have an archive of thoughts which I can go back to. :)
An idea for my next online course - How to make a high production short film without any talent, money or friends.
Iโll document myself making a short film and will release the same as the part of the last chapter.
Should I do this?
Got the early access to Master of None S3. There is this one episode in the series which proves yet again why Aziz Ansari is one of the finest filmmakers on the planet. I say it once every 6 months and Iโll say it again, the world doesnโt talk enough about his filmmaking skills.
One lesser known aspect of film industry is ghosting which happens after success (even failure). You see these people on billboards or bump into them at premieres. You then look at them and realise they didn't ghost out of malice, they are just sleepwalking in waking life.
I know that there is a possibility that you might not find this thread but I still wanted to try this once because it's something I have been obsessing over almost for a year now.ย :)
Apart from Twitter, I am also available at - vaibhavmunjal25
@gmail

And now that I have a minute to breathe, I just quickly wanted to mention that Chalchitra Talks now has 7 shows running on the channel. So on some good weeks, youโll be able to see a Chachitra video every day. :)
