Our classroom transformed into a pizzeria today and it turns out we have some expert pizza chefs🍕 We had a blast making personal pizzas with our individual pizza kits. Then for procedural writing, we wrote detailed step by step instructions to share our recipe✏️ @StGregoryHCDSB

Last week Mrs. Baker & Mrs. Dragolli were challenged at ‘teacher school’ to complete this 4 cube challenge. Our FDK friends impressed us with their teamwork & spatial reasoning skills to complete the challenge too ✔️ @eye_you @StGregoryHCDSB

We have been learning how to proofread and edit sentences by reflecting on success criteria. We had a good laugh editing Mrs.Baker’s sentences😂🤦🏼‍♀️ We read “Thanks for the Feedback” & learned how to give/receive descriptive feedback when peer editing with💙 & ➡️ @StGregoryHCDSB

February is black history month. In Grade 2, we will be exploring picture books each day during our snack time read aloud time to learn about history, celebrate accomplishments, cultures & experiences & discuss how we are all unique and welcome as children of God @StGregoryHCDSB

Bellwork ✏️ We are exploring cursive writing every Friday in Grade 2 writing our heart words of the week. We had to use the growth mindset today and the power of yet when trying cursive writing for the first time 👏🏼 @StGregoryHCDSB
