Is Splatoon really a “kids” game? Why? Because it has color, no cussing or blood? What makes a game adult? It has tons of mechanics and concepts that are not easy to master. The aesthetics are kid friendly, but I don’t think it was made for kids. I think it was made for gamers.

Nintendo’s patches keep fixing how the points are disturbed for the final result of splatfest, but who honestly cares? The patches should fix the matchmaking. The problem isn’t X rankers farming casuals, but that those two groups should never be in the same lobbies to begin with.

Today we ran the first international tourney for Splatoon 3, and it was honestly as smooth, if not smoother, as any Splatoon 2 tourney we have done. 84 teams, same latency issues we always face, no bugs reported, new day 1 twitch viewer peak. Splatoon 3 works for online tourneys.

The most dangerous teams in this community are the ones who truly don’t give a shit. Low Ink ban, plus server, who cares they just play the game without fear of or lack of respect for the opponent. Once you realize every game starts out 0-0, you realize nobody is unbeatable.

Turf War has no checkpoints/penalty points or KOs. That is why people say it comes down to the last 30 seconds because total points scored isn’t a factor in the outcome like the other modes. The objective is fine but the design of the mode is why it’s not competitively viable.
