Taking public transit to work
1. Is cheaper and safer than driving
2. Means I can read news and social media
3. Makes me feel like I’m apart of something bigger than myself

As much as I agree. Houston’s public transportation is not reliable. Never on time. I’ve had to wait for the metro and the app would say that the next bus is coming in 10 minutes. 45 minutes later no bus.
@LeslieGzz
So true. And that’s the problem. We often build out services based on existing ridership…while you can DEFINITELY prioritize neighborhoods with high ridership that rely on buses, you also just need to provide a good service so ridership will increase.
@MollyforTexas
It’s time to make the investment in public transportation to make it work for the public. We need more frequent stops (10 mins max) at all times. It’s too hot in Houston to be waiting on a bus in the summer.

Whether it’s transit, bike, walk or multimodal - by not choosing a car, you- especially as a state leader, are using your platform for true
