My daughter's school is closed tomorrow.
We were notified by text.
It saddens me though that she'll never experience the joy of listening to a morning show host spend 28 minutes per half hour for 4 hours reading school names alphabetically waiting to hear if hers made the cut.
If Senator Tuberville follows his own advice, I expect him to spend time addressing the Senate on what it's like to give up 51 points in a half to USF.
I love the Reds.
I love coming to GABP.
Those things remain regardless of the team's record.
But if you're advertising $3 beers and $2 hot dogs on Tuesdays, you can't run out of both in the top of the 4th inning.
Yesterday I watched Burrow vs. Mahomes.
Tonight I'm watching Roethlisberger vs. Mayfield.
This is like flying first class on the way there and then sitting in the airplane lavatory on the way home.
The run to the Super Bowl was awesome.
The future is very encouraging.
Coming agonizingly close to winning a championship and then losing is profoundly disappointing.
26-year-old Milwaukee Police Officer Herbert Davis was shot Thursday night in a shootout during a wellness check. He survived, and today he left the hospital! Idk about you guys but it seems like he might be rooting for the

Two weeks ago this team was dead. Dead. The last two weeks have been immensely fun. Good for them. Good for us.
And these guys are going to be an absolute load in the postseason.
"Burrow admitting to smoking a postgame cigar in a publicly-owned facility with a strict no smoking policy is emblematic of a team that while talented, lacks maturity. It may doom them when they play teams with players who obey smoking ordinances."

Been at nearly every UC home and road game for two decades. Never heard "Let's Go Bearcats" ring throughout an opposing stadium they way it did during that break.
Making four major acquisitions without losing any prospects or young/controllable players is the definition of effective front office work. The Reds have a better team than they had last year AND added flexibility to make trades. Really solid work by Dick and Nick.
As I enjoyed a late-night cocktail somewhere in Pasadena hours after UC's season-opening victory at the Rose Bowl, a gentleman in a UCLA pullover approached me on his way out, poked his finger into my chest and told me to "just wait 'til basketball season."
I waited.
I legitimately can't think of a dumber sports punishment than Nick Castellanos getting two games for yelling at a guy on the other team, and I've been alive for Roger Goodell's entire tenure as NLF commissioner.
After last season we heard a lot about how the NFL really didn’t want officiating issues to dominate the conversation after signature games.
Then in the first game of the following season, its crew allows a right tackle to line up illegally and commit false starts all night.
Your public is not in a luxury suite, Bob. It does not reside in the press box.
It resides here. In right field. These fans thirst for a parade.
Give it to us.
Evan McPherson went 14 for 14 in the postseason, and drilled the two biggest kicks in the history of the franchise.
He can spend halftimes doing whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned.
But I'm not his coach.
It is possible to be simultaneously encouraged by the way the Bengals performed today and also frustrated by the missed opportunities that led to their defeat.
I'd say that one way to undermine a QB's trade value is by benching him hours before the trade deadline, but that would assume the people running the Bengals even know that today is the trade deadline.
