[Cinematography Cheat Sheet - pt 2] What im starting to realize in this study is that the official name of each concept/stage is actually not as obvious as you'd think. Framing seems to be more so your placement, interaction and number of characters rather than "cool shots". 🤔

Daily exercise to solidify fundamentals. Cubes cover perspective, rotation and arcs. I found an animator today who also did the exercise and was able to break down why my version was so weird. There are inner and outer ellipses for arcs! Also free feet🦶🏻 #rkgk #indie_anime

Hi Animators, can you share your figures you use for animations? State your pros and cons. The most important thing is to have a solid base/skeleton and prioritize movement. And then add character details on top. Still not the biggest fan of A/B/C atm, as they dont feel good

After my long search, made my own figure as a midground of time/vol/perspective(replies). Tried my first Inoue walk, you will notice subtle changes in height and arcs in the knees. Try it! Shapes in space for depth perception. 1st ever throwing animation + @qulomiz_u cameo!

I heavily underestimated how difficult/finicky animating subtle character acting is compared to action sakuga scenes. I storyboarded with mostly minimal movement to "save time" and ended up costing more coz every line must be more accurately drawn🤦🏻‍♂️ #rkgk #chainsawman #indie_anime

We all want to animate and draw character details straight away neglecting/skipping the skeleton, coz its exciting to draw sexy characters right? But it destroys the motion and stiffens the animation. So pls share your figures, I really want to find one that I enjoy drawing! TY!

I dont have enough experience to be 100% sure but comparing to top level sakuga quality from JJK, Demon Slayer, Nakamura - It feels like the Trigger style is almost as effective with simpler designs and less frames/details - which feels like a great place to start for newbies~

I've been trying to figure out why shows like FLCL, Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill are so timeless - To learn a style that is a good ROI in effort. Must be the expressive chara design, insane poses/perspective, appealing stylistic effects.
