A shape like that couch could be modeled in less than a minute. Nothing like this will pass an art review at a company. With nanite the polycount isn't the problem any more. What if the art director says "Eh make the cushions thinner..."? Then You'd be better off with a hand made

Very junior modellers with less than 3 months experience and only in the video game industry.
So I can imagine that won't be for AAA games, but maybe for a few small Indie games ?

I don't get why it is a problem. We have more and more work on AAA games every year. If we can automate something, why not? Do you want artists to make primitive sofas? I also doubt that this prop can be used somewhere

Does donut modeler know how game assets are made? Seems like he doesn't. Therefore, I personally would worry. I would only worry for people that doesn't know how 3D assets for video games are made.

It's funny because...none of his content is "game ready" content. Just hacks stuff together in Blender. So, I'm not surprised this is his take.
