This is the German CDS, the inflation print did not help. Again matter of time until EU goes through what UK is currently going through

@MenthorQpro Come on, is there really anyone who fears for Germany's solvency?

@Andrzej68458785 no but it shows how investors feel right now. This is the market is all sentiment. You see German CDS like this, you dnt take risk anywhere else if you have a brain

@MenthorQpro This I think was the underlying plan from Putin and Xi, this is what they were hoping would happen following the invasion of Ukraine. Russia has suffered economically but its already a small economy and people already live in poor conditions, it’s the norm and they can weather it

@MenthorQpro Interesting but... @MenthorQpro could you please answer my question on liquidity that I asked you while discussing UK CDS? Prices with little volume carry little information

@MenthorQpro Interesting, but... what are the volumes traded? See a nice, recent piece of research on CDS, unfortunatelly with too little focus on liquidity. Do the traders move indications higher or is the UK 5Y CDS actively traded in these very recent days?

I repeat. Ignore the talking heads and look at CDS spreads instead.

@MenthorQpro @InvestInOnG € sov cds trade only made sense when mkt worried about eurozone breakup (roughly 10 years ago) & even then it was just a momentum trade. Now it’s just silly…
