Ruin clears the entire franchise, I'm sorry I much prefer the animatronics actually doing something with your character fighting back over them just chomping at you for 2 seconds, it's much more immersive and makes them much scarier

cool little bit of environmental detail in Ruin- when you get into the log ride area, you can see where Roxy knocked over some paint and got it on herself, and you can see footprints, as well as handprints from her feeling around to make sure she was going the right way

There is more to the story of FNaF 1-3 than I think people realize, especially when you factor in character relationships, which seem to be an enormous part of this movie. They want to be able to tell THEIR story, and not focus on the past.
