OF Tyrone Taylor is now halfway through his lengthy tenure under #Brewers control. The rare player who could max out at 7 minor league seasons, then 3 optionable 40-man seasons, then 6 MLB seasons. Yes, initial MLB contracts can bind a player for 16 (!) years before free agency.

Certainly don't plan on giving daily Orlando Arcia winter league updates, but hey, as long as he continues his hot start - a 2-for-3 night with a walk Thursday. After four games, 7-for-17, 2B, HR, just one K (and the one walk), and a 1.092 OPS. #Brewers

#Brewers will need to make a decision on veteran LH reliever Justin Wilson within next few days. His rehab assignment (Tommy John) began on June 27th in Maryvale (Nashville since July 6th) and can last no more than 30 days.

It's tiny, but of note - #Brewers game starts ten minutes before Chicago game, and a first inning Milwaukee lead vs. a rookie Tigers pitcher could add to the early angst/pressure at Wrigley. Just a wonderfully fascinating afternoon ahead, can't wait.

If the #Brewers want to avoid any DFA situation for now to free up a 40-man spot for Sal Frelick, LH reliever Bennett Sousa has been on the 15-day IL since June 8th with left shoulder nerve irritation, he could easily slide to the 60-day IL.

The buzz in #Brewers minor league camp was justified. Look for RHP Zack Brown to be in the @BiloxiShuckers starting mix after just four High-A starts, and RHP Thomas Jankins is set to skip Carolina altogether and join Brown in Biloxi. (Still not 100% official, but close).
