Bizarre equivalence, truly bizarre. The authenticity of an Indian Covid vaccine certificate can be verified online, in real time and in less than a minute. How do you do verify the authenticity of security threats?
@dhume
Sadanand Dhume

@myraemacdonald Yes. The dominant Indian view is that there’s no fake certificate problem, and the dominant Pakistani view seems to be that there’s no real security threat. Would love to see some even-handed reporting, though I’m largely sympathetic to both the Indian and Pakistani positions.

One of the giants of Uttar Pradesh politics, first becoming an MLA as far back as 1967. Targeted organised crime and the education mafia in his first term as chief minister (1991) and made quite an impact. Hard to describe his stature in his prime to those too young to remember

The President of India can vote like any other citizen. Some previous Presidents have voted, some have chosen not to. President Kovind has repeatedly urged fellow citizens to vote. He felt it appropriate to demonstrate by example

@rashtrapatibhvn @MalikAshok Isn’t it true that normally President and VP don’t vote so that they remain non partisan? Don’t think Pranab Mukherjee voter in 2014.

After the President took office in July 2017, he directed Rashtrapati Bhavan being a public building there would be no religious observances at taxpayer expense. This is in keeping with the principles of a secular state and applies to all festivities, irrespective of religion 1/3

Some thoughts from the @narendramodi visit to Houston and the upcoming Howdy Modi! event follow. I spent the day at the NRG Stadium watching preparations and rehearsals for the event and it’s cultural component. Also interacted with volunteers from all parts of the US 1/n

Hate to get into an argument with an idiot, but whatever else happened in 1962 the Indian soldier did not run away. There may have been the odd aberration, but most fought with very limited equipment — and with incredible courage

India used a combination of cost arbitrage and quality delivery to make itself globally competitive in IT services. No reason why our farmers and farm sector can’t do this in the global food supply chain. The three laws passed today are part of several steps in this direction 1/2
