Bumped into an old mate who told me he’d never take a Covid vaccine “when we know so little about it”. The same lad used to take pills every weekend 20 years ago bought from Decko outside the Temple of Sound.

Now that he’s famous, we can name drop that two years ago, on Tom’s birthday, we met Sgt Hugh Shovlin by chance, and he made time to let a very excited little boy try on his hat AND sit in a real Garda van. Completely made his birthday. ❤️

I used to call my Mum every day. Sometimes the conversations were important, but usually they were pretty trivial. It’s only when someone is gone that you realise the trivial stuff was what mattered all along. That’s where the love sits. Can’t believe she’s gone a year. 💔

Vaccinator friend told me a lot of anti-vaxxers are taking appointments purely so they can show up and then “not consent”. Honestly, I despair sometimes. If you don’t want the vaccine, fine; but to waste people’s time and keep slots from those who want them is despicable. 🤬

Was just in a cafe, and the man in front of me ordered the last sandwich, promptly paid for it, turned around and asked me if I'd like half seeing as it was the last one. Honestly, it was the kindest thing. I was ordering soup, so it was grand, but it was lovely of him.

All the #Keelings talk has reminded me of fruit picking in Australia years ago. 4.30am starts, finished at midday when the heat became dangerous. Utterly backbreaking. I do wonder if people know how labour intensive putting fruit and veg on shelves at "2 for a fiver" is.

Currently putting together the plans for my darling Mum's send off. Gosh, it happens quickly. We will be asking for donations to the @MarieKeating in lieu of flowers. I honestly can't think of anyone I know who hasn't been affected by the scourge of cancer.❤️💐

The lip fillers around town are getting out of control people! Looks like half the city is suffering anaphylaxis.
