Only in London can a guy who’s never had a football experience outside Goals tell a FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League and a Ballon d'Or winner to cut the ball back.
It’s not the years of austerity induced poor health outcomes/deaths , racism and islamophobia but the double standards of a rogue advisor that is driving people away from the Conservative party.
Can you believe that I will be impeached today by the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, AND I DID NOTHING WRONG! A terrible Thing. Read the Transcripts. This should never happen to another President again. Say a PRAYER!

Who said Brits aren’t petty? Someone’s just hired a campaign van displaying the PM’s social distancing/self isolation guidance outside Dom Cummings’ house 🤣
Please share this with your friends and siblings. This is a great opportunity for those wanting to break into industry.

This should be all over the news.
Harrowing stuff.
Most of the disposable income in a Somali household is spent on some sort of tuition/tutoring. I truly feel for the families who have incurred financial loss as well.
Been sitting on this for the week but I have been awarded a high merit for my masters in Health Policy ( A great time to in the department).
An incredible and intense 12 months later and I’m grateful for the long-lasting friends I have made along the way.
As much as it is refreshing to see a full lifting of all lockdown measure by the 21st of June, none of it is supported by SAGE.
In fact lifting all restrictions from the end of April could lead to 50,000+ deaths according to several modelling projections.
Siyad Barre provided free healthcare & education.
He Increased the literacy rate from 10% in 1969 to 80% in 1979. 🇸🇴 won a UNESCO Medal because of that.
He stopped Uganda & Tanzania from going to war in 1972.
He died with 0 dollars.
Everything 🇸🇴 has now it was done by him
Boris on surpassing the 100,000 figure “We truly did everything we could to minimise loss of life."
- Ignored several cobra meetings/ scientific calls for an earlier lockdown
- Took 12 months to control borders
- handed dubious contracts on pointless test & trace
Condolences to the Elman family. Almaas has contributed so much to in reshaping of how humanitarian aid is framed in Somalia as well as working on Initatives in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs).
Our best civil servants/innovators and leaders are being targeted.
My undergrad dissertation is still my best academic work. I really should pushed it for publication as the literature in Somalia/Somaliland is limited.
My mother recently got her first jab and now she’s telling her friends to do the same - this is health promotion and reaching out to vaccine hesitant groups instead of spending £ on inaccessible campaigns.
Happy Independence Day to Somaliland. The 29 years of peace & prosperity in our country is monumental. The very fact that it falls on the special month of Ramadan this year makes it even a greater blessing. Let us make duas for the fallen heros that made this possible.
Regarding the Shamima Begum Supreme Court verdict- your citizenship is provisional and can be revoked by the state if your parents weren’t British despite you being British?
Very worrying.

It’s not even that far fetched to say that Black panther and Chadwick Boseman started a cultural revolution in cinematography.
Seeing a black Marvel superhero was the first for many children.
Damn this time last year I became the first graduate in my family. Truly one of the best moments ever and I always look back to remind myself all the sacrifices my parents made.
A year on and I’m very blessed and really inspired to give back to all those who believed in me.
Unpopular opinion but gatekeeping who gives dawah to those who have gathered the knowledge via academia and studying under reputable sheikhs/institutions then we wouldn’t have the damaging dawah scene in the UK.

I am seeing many articles on vitamin D deficiency & Covid-19 ‘susceptibility’ .... Yes vitamin D deficiency is prevalent among the BAME community but reducing everything to this is a simple a way of deflecting from the socioeconomic factors.
Earlier this year SOAS had one of their lecturers (Gunnar Beck) running for the European parliamentary elections for the rightwing party (AfD) & now another lecturer at the uni is telling Stormzy to be thankful for living in the UK - are they still decolonising the curriculum ?
Overheard a conversation at my local Sainsbury’s where two guys were talking about the Colston statue.
One of them uttered“ what if we want to a sharia country & took down a statue of Muhammad “
I was tempted to reply that they would actually be reinforcing shariah if they did
LinkedIn is full of applaud me for contextually understanding the plight different people are going through - which says a lot about the hiring person/firm
People saying I should remain silent on certain topics because I’ll lose opportunities like I wasn’t a 7 year old kicking pebbles in Hargeisa 15 years ago.
I’ve peaked pal
Once again working from home is a privilege and is not an option for the majority. The key to answering why people from BAME/middle class backgrounds are at a greater disproportionate risk to the virus is tied to how far we want a equal society for everyone.
Commuters can be seen piling onto tube trains a day after Boris Johnson said those who are unable to work from home should now be "actively encouraged" to go to work from Wednesday.

lockdown here:
It’s even worse because I’m seeing discourse relating to protests being haram being propagated but it’s the same folk protesting school curriculum change.
Most disappointing thing for me is seeing the lack of reaction from the UK Muslim organisations. Nothing from the Muslim Council of Britain, nothing from Islam Channel, nothing from majority of the mosques here, nothing from the major Muslim charities etc.
I shot my shot earlier this week on LinkedIn and next minute I’m on a Microsoft video meeting call with the Managing Director of Health of Accenture in Chicago - he also didn’t miss the opportunity to mock us on Brexit 🤣
It’s particularly telling how this lockdown began with everyone baking and is ending with institutions/people being held accountable for their wrongdoings.
Dahir Ali Gawl one of the victims of the Al shabab attack earlier today had dedicated his life to outreach work that centred around fighting the radicalisation and recruitment of children in conflict zones.
So sad!
Deeply worrying that the BAME community is being blamed for the apparent spike in covid cases in some regional parts of the UK. When we have had weeks of protesting, don’t forget the VE Day parties and the incompetent nature of the govts public health guidance.
Can we remember...
Marcus Rashford is 23, raised £200m for kids to eat last year.
Jadon Sancho is 21, opened up new football pitches for those in the suburbs of London.
Bukayo Saka is 19, a voice for the youth of football today & helping local communities.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
January- May 2021 has really been kind to me. I have worked immensely hard on so many projects/reports and I cannot wait to share what’s to come with you all ⏳︎
Never have I ever thought I’d be cheering on the flag that was often used as threat to many of us growing up here. Some of us are going through peak identity crisis but let’s bring it home !!
Deeply concerned that a twitter dragging is the only way of extending the platform to academics that are originally from the place where the research is focused.
UPDATE: This afternoon’s event — Financial Strains, Health Pressures: Syria, Somalia and the COVID-19 impact — will be joined by Khalif Abdirahman, Senior Field Researcher for LSE’s Conflict Research Programme- Somalia.

On Sunday the PM said we should avoid public transport commutes to work but in the same week congestion charge is up to £15 and is active 7 days a week. Do you think the government is perhaps pursuing its herd immunity strategy?
