I am Maha’s friend. I am writing this message on her behalf as she no longer has access to power. This is her message to all of us: DO NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT GAZA, expose the crimes of Israel.. Be the voice for those who are silenced.
If I ever get killed at some point, if any voice from Gaza you’re following gets silenced, please keep speaking up for those still enduring this genocide, those living under this illegal occupation. Do not stop until the whole of Palestine is free.
Omar Mannaa, 22, a Palestinian baker, killed earlier this morning by Israeli troops during a military raid in the Deheishe refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
Another Palestinian killed, another Israeli soldier will go unpunished.
Please stop launching fundraising campaigns. We don’t need money.
Money in
#Gaza
is useless while there is nothing to buy from the markets.
We need your governments to pressure Israel to immediately stop its war crimes & crimes against humanity.
My phone is dying. I'll be offline for a couple of hours soon. The bombing is still ongoing. Israel is committing multiple massacres in different areas across the Gaza Strip. Keep posting about Gaza. Do not let these atrocities go unnoticed.
Did you know that Palestinian women are among the most educated in the Arab world with a 94% literacy rate and girls outperforming boys in academic testing?
It's the second day of school in Gaza.
Good morning☀️
My phone and laptop have died. No electricity as we’re running out of fuel for the power generator, after Israel cut electricity and fuel supplies to Gaza.
I will be off until we find alternatives,
This is what Israel wanted, to commit genocide against a silenced people
Palestinian school girls run crying after Israeli occupation forces fired teargas canisters towards at least 8 kindergartens and
@UNRWA
schools in the southern area of occupied Hebron, in the West Bank earlier today.
Photo of the Day: This Palestinian family returned to their home after the Israeli army withdrew and found it burned. Undeterred, they decided to paint it and make it livable again. Nothing new, just a familiar story of Palestinian stubbornness in the face of occupation.
85-year-old Palestinian grandmother Jihad Battu from Nazareth in occupied Palestine has just graduated from university and got a BA in Islamic studies!
Battu had stopped school at grade 5 following the Palestinian Nakba in 1948, and insisted on resuming her studies in her 70s.
I woke up at dawn, walked around 3 kilometers & stood in a long queue outside the only bakery in our area of refuge for 3 hours to get a few loaves of bread.
We’re struggling to get food
W’re struggling to get water
We’re struggling to stay alive!

I’m one of the most fortunate among displaced people in Gaza! Today I could finally get a bed after having to sleep on the floor for the past 6 months, and guess who had the honor of testing it out first?
75 years since my grandparents have been forcibly expelled from Jerusalem.
6 months since I’ve been forcibly expelled from my home in Gaza City.

‼️FIELD EXECUTIONS, MASS DETENTIONS.
Alarming footage of Israeli forces turning a stadium in Gaza into a mass detention camp. The video shows the detention of hundreds of civilians, including women, elders, and BABIES.
@EuroMedHR
has confirmed that the Israeli forces are…
Residents of Gaza are fully aware that there's nowhere safe in Gaza. Evacuating to another area offers no guarantee of safety from the Israeli indiscriminate bombings. Those who've been displaced multiple HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO!
Almost everyone in my shelter is sick. We’ve been severely coughing & facing breathing difficulties, unable to go to a doctor as hospitals are already overwhelmed with victims.
Today a doctor in the house just told me it’s COVID, spreading rapidly in overcrowded areas.
#Gaza
Last night, Israeli forces detained Omar Abukhdeir, the man seen getting beaten by Israeli forces while trying to protect
#ShireenAbuAkleh
's casket during her funeral two days ago.
Breaking: Israeli warplanes are currently bombing different places around the house I'm staying in, although this is supposed to be a safe area after Israel asked residents of Gaza to move to it. No place is safe
Genocide Day 111
Displacement Day 105
Meet this little girl displaced in my area of refuge in the southern Gaza Strip who did not have shoes so she made her own!
I visited Khanyounis southern Gaza today following the withdrawal of Israeli forces
Not a single home isn’t bombed, not one building isn’t scorched.. Walking through the neighborhoods, you cannot help but sense Israel’s palpable desire for revenge against an entire population
Israel bombed all universities as part of its genocide of Gaza
So this Palestinian, Tamer Abumousa, defended his master’s thesis in psychology in a displacement tent in Rafah which Israel bombs daily— a glimpse of the indomitable spirit of Palestinians, their love for education.
Mistaking him for a Palestinian, an Israeli soldier shot dead an Israeli man for approaching him in a “suspicious manner” this morning.
A sad incident that reflects the extent to which Israeli forces are willing to extrajudicially kill any Palestinian who acts “suspiciously.”
"Fatmeh [my wife] means the world to me. She is [my] home. She was able to give our children[unconditionally] for 20 years. This is the greatness of the Palestinian woman"
- Majd Barbar, Palestinian prisoner freed today after 20 years in Israeli prisons.
A group of displaced people in UNRWA schools went to bathe in the sea this morning because they couldn’t find water anywhere.
Israeli gunboats bombed them on the beach.
Dozens of casualties reported.
I documented multiple cases with
@EuroMedHR
of Israeli soldiers abducting blonde children from
#Gaza
claiming they might be abductee Israelis.
As Israeli forces are nearing my area of refuge, I just actually told my brother’s wife to dye her blonde daughter’s hair black!
I was going to my 3rd shelter in central Gaza when I learned displaced people were trying to return to Gaza City. I joined them, only to be forcibly expelled again. We were met with Israeli artillery & naval shelling. I headed back to my new shelter, dozens were killed & injured
Hijazi Qawasmi, a Palestinian from occupied Hebron, kisses his cancer-stricken child goodbye before being detained by Israeli occupation forces at dawn today.
Father of a 5-year-old Palestinian girl holds her body in the al-Shifa hospital after she was killed by an Israeli airstrike on Gaza short ago.
Dozens others have been injured and killed.

"I'm speaking to you from eastern Rafah, from the evacuation areas. The situation is very bad, with continuous bombing & gunfire. Nonstop airstrikes, artillery shelling, flare bombs, Apache helicopters supporting the vehicles. Sounds of vehicle moving within the borders of Rafah"

Another hospital targeted.. this time a children hospital
Israeli airstrikes just targeted the main entrance of the al-Nasr Hospital for Children in Gaza City. Dozens of casualties reported.
My kind-hearted colleague
@MahmoudAlnaouq1
& his family were killed in an Israeli airstrike on their home. He had texted me 3 days ago offering help as he lives in the allegedly safe area where people were asked to move. My dear friend, we’ll never forgive

Breaking: Israeli forces just separated Rafah in the southern
#Gaza
Strip from the adjacent cities and areas, meaning that the around 1.5 million Palestinians there cannot now evacuate it while the army is preparing for a ground invasion.
After 13 days with complete blackout, I came to a mobile phone market to connect to internet for few minutes.. to feel alive again.
Thank you everyone for following the updates and keeping the voice of Gaza going.
I’ll keep you updated. My friend will continue posting.
A sad morning in Gaza..
At least 30 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential home belonging to Abu Hassira family in the vicinity if the Shifa Medical Complex
Yogurt in Gaza for the 1st time in 4 months!
As Israel cut food supplies & closed the borders of the blockaded strip, we haven’t seen it in months!
It’s now available in limited amounts as part of the aid recently allowed solely into the southern parts of the strip.
My bed for the past 83 days.
The door shakes every time an airstrike hits the area, cold nights are long & painful, but Tom is handling it well!
83 days of displacement & 89 days of ongoing Israeli genocide.. we’re still alive because we have a story to tell.
#Gaza
After 4 days of looking for rice, I finally found 1kg. A young man was selling it in the street in front of his home
On my way back to the house of refuge, I was asked by at least 7 people where I got rice!
Since the beginning of its attack, Israel has cut food supplies to Gaza
I am absolutely terrified about the well-being of Maha. We have not been able to establish contact for the past 3 hours after the area to which she was displaced was bombed severely.
"Hello world, I'm Maha Hussaini and this might be my last video"
This was indeed Maha's last video!
A few hours after the video was posted, she was forced to evacuate her home in Gaza as Israeli bombing continues, and she currently faces complete blackout with no internet.
“Hello world, this might be my last video as my phone battery is dying.”
Maha Hussaini (
@MahaGaza
), Middle East Eye correspondent in Gaza, has a message to the world.
A real massacre is being committed inside the al-Shifa Hospital NOW
Patients, healthcare professionals, & thousands of displaced people are encircled by Israeli tanks while being bombed by airstrikes & artillery shells
Patients are literally dying after the electricity went off
Here is something sweet to start your day🎓
21 years later, Palestinian young lady Haneen Sbeih takes the same photo with her uncle, during her graduation from Birzeit University in the occupied West Bank.
Breaking: An Israeli airstrike targeted the entrance of an UNRWA school where thousands of internally displaced persons are taking refuge. The school is located in Khanyounis in the southern Gaza Strip, a place Israel asked residents to move to.
Gaza’s sole power plat has completely shutdown.
No fuel, no electricity, disrupted internet access & the water & food supplies have been also been cut by Israel
Israel threatened to bomb any Egyptian aid trucks coming into Gaza.
A massacre is being committed in total blackout.
Two days ago, Al Jazeera aired an investigative documentary revealing Facebook's collaboration with Israeli intelligence agencies.
This morning,
@facebook
took down the page of Tamer al-Meshal, the documentary's presenter.
Good morning from the house of refuge.
My niece believes this cat is displaced like her. She is sharing milk and wants to "shower her and take her to Gaza when the war is over"
I’m a forcibly displaced Palestinian interviewing forcibly displaced Palestinians about their forcible displacement in Gaza.
And I just bought a mirror for my new shelter
While we're losing internet and our batteries are running out, and as Israel is attempting to silence Palestinians in Gaza by imposing a complete blackout, DO NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT GAZA, expose the crimes of Israel.. Be the voice for those who are silenced.
Breaking: Healthcare professionals: Israeli occupation soldiers reopened a mass grave in the vicinity of the al-Shifa Hospital, retrieved a number of bodies of killed Palestinians and took them.

There are currently only 3 bakeries providing bread for the over 2 million residents across the
#Gaza
Strip.
Many bakeries have been targeted by Israeli airstrikes and the rest closed their doors due to the lack of fuel, electricity, wheat flour, and water.
Israel is insisting on conducting a massacre in Rafah. They just ordered hundreds of thousands of residents and displaced people in the eastern part of Rafah to evacuate, preparing for an invasion of the area, fully aware that the majority of these people have nowhere to go.

3rd day without water. We get two sips of water a day, we don’t know when we’ll get to refill the tanker again. With Israel cutting off water supply, this doesn’t seem to happen in the near future
We miss drinking water as much as we want.

Two Palestinian boys in Gaza happily receive snacks from a local man. When offered more, they refused, saying, 'No thank you. We're not greedy.'
Snacks like chocolate & wafers in Gaza are called "drugs" by the starved residents due to their scarcity
Blessed Friday from Rafah in southern Gaza, where residents and displaced people are performing the Friday prayers on the ruins of a mosque bombed by Israel
Update from Maha:
I fled from the city to center with the family of our colleague at the Commission for Human Rights, Hassan Halasa, in accordance with Israel’s instructions. Israel bombed the place where the Halasa family took refuge, killing all 12 members of his family 😓
Israel has bombed the entrance and the vicinity of the Rafah border, controlled by Egypt in the south of Gaza.
By doing this, Israel has completely isolated and trapped 2 million residents in Gaza, cut food, electricity & fuel supplies, and is currently bombing them

I’m standing on the rooftop of our house of refuge & I can hear Israeli gun machines on the east
Update from Maha, posted by a friend as she faces total blackout:
Today we witnessed dozens of Israeli airstrikes in Deir Balah,Khanyounis, Nussairat &Rafah, all of which are towns located within the area Israel asked civilians in Gaza to move to
Dear world, are you listening?
First trip for Tom on a horse-drawn cart in our area of refuge in central Gaza. We’re going to the vet!
We’ve been looking for a vet for the past month since most vets evacuated to Rafah to take shelter from the Israeli bombardment. He’s not used to seeing this number of people!
Under this thread are names and photos of at least 66 Palestinian children killed during Israel’s recent attack on Gaza (10 - 21 May).
Starting with these two siblings who were killed along with their pregnant mother in my neighborhood, Zaid, 4 and Mariam 2.

Everyday reminder:
The occupation is illegal
The siege is illegal
Genocide is illegal
Forced displacement is illegal
Mass killing is illegal
Targeting civilians is illegal
Targeting journalists is illegal
Bombing residential homes is illegal
Resisting all of this is legitimate
It's been 83 days since I last slept on a bed & a pillow, since I last ate a normal meal, since I showered with running water, since I was "home"
Since 13 Oct, over 1M Palestinians in Gaza have been taking refuge from the indiscriminate Israeli bombing in tents & humble homes.

who just suspended his 171-day hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention in Israeli jails without charge or trial.
Eight years ago, Israeli forces killed four Palestinian children as they played football on the

Written on the shroud: "Rana Kamel Mustafa al-Hwaiti, 9-month-pregnant, and the fetus is still in her womb"
Al-Hwaiti was killed along with a number of her family members in an Israeli airstrike on their home in Khanyounis, in the central
#Gaza
Strip.
A sleepless night for the displaced and the homeless in Gaza.
It's been raining heavily nonstop & windy all night. Most of those taking refuge in schools and displacement centers stay in tents that have been probably damaged or destroyed by the heavy rain & wind.
