I was officially diagnosed with #Autism today. I'm angry. I was evaluated for learning disorders as a child and diagnosed with #ADHD . I don't know how they missed it for so long. I pushed for answers. I didn't give up. I got an answer today, but I deserved support so much sooner.

My freshman year of college, I invited a girl on my floor to see a movie. She said she’d let me know. Then a week later I saw on instagram that the entire floor went to the movie I suggested without me. Making friends as an adult is hard. We need to talk about that more.

I’ve been quiet. I didn’t want to worry anyone. I’m packing my apartment to move back to my hometown. 30% of Gen Z lives at home bc of cost of living. I dreamt my entire childhood about getting out of my rural town. Now, I’m moving back. I got out once. I’ll do it again.

Any time someone in power says, “who do you think they will believe,” it raises alarm bells to me. They dont want you to report their bad behavior. I report them anyway. I believe me. I don’t see why anyone else wouldnt? My hope in sharing is that others see the same alarm bells.
