@PaulHowarthUK @SurtseyAna That's approximately 12 hours a year if you do it twice a day. Multiple that by the number of people using it and then think about the time wasted

Today (Saturday) the police started issuing Notices Of Intended Prosecution to drivers exceeding the 20mph limit in Hither Green West. They caught 50+ offenders in a short period this afternoon. That'll be at least 3 points & £100 fine each, or speed awareness course 🚔 📸

@PaulHowarthUK A lot of entitlement and hypocrisy in these comments. If you break the law you are a criminal. Speeding is a criminal offence. I've more sympathy for a poor person who stole because they were hungry than for a who felt inconvenienced by the speed limit.

@SurtseyAna Well said. It's not even a real inconvenience. For example, Hither Green Lane is 1.6km long. It takes no more than 58 seconds to drive its full length at 20mph than it does at 30mph.

@MVoikhansky @SurtseyAna So we let them travel at 70mph then? 🤷

@MVoikhansky @PaulHowarthUK @SurtseyAna How many years wasted for a kid that gets killed at 30mph compared to one that survives because they were hit at 20mph? Multiply that by the number killed and maimed each year on the UK's roads by speeding drivers.

@MVoikhansky @PaulHowarthUK @SurtseyAna What about if they speed and close pass a horse? That ok?
