Most no travel advisories have been lifted in WC MN but it will take some time for road conditions to improve. MNDOT crews are out doing a great job but please have some patience. I-94 Moorhead to Barnesville is slippery as indicated in the video I-94 mp7

Proud dad moment - my son competed in his Cub Scout Pack Pinewood Derby. Normally he wants a superhero or sports team theme but this year he wanted a MN State Patrol squad car. The Cub Scout motto is “Do Your Best.” He and the entire pack did that with their efforts & attitude

#TBT 1960 Plymouth Pursuit Special was equipped w/the 361 CID V8 & A/T. Plymouth advertised the MN Highway Patrol as one of several major agencies using their cars this year. Most cars had the TorqueFlite A/T but several had a 3-Speed manual transmission.

-15 (wind chill -35) this is not the weather to let your veh get low on fuel. I strongly recommend trying to fuel up when you get near half empty. This motorist stated the veh indicated it had 30 miles before going empty (2 miles ago) I wouldn’t rely on that - please #BePrepared

We’re dealing w/ -52 below windchill in WC MN and there’s a few slipping & sliding off the road (this one I-94 east of Moorhead-no inj.) limited visibility please drive safely. Stay w/your veh, call for assistance, know your location & have your winter survival kit available

NW MN Hwy11 mp19 between Donaldson & Karlstad (Kittson County) conditions are being reported that it’s windy & icy enough to have blown this semi off the road. A short while later a plow came by to assist and was also blown off the icy road. No inj.

“Shop With a Cop” looked a little different this year with no kids in person, but we got some lists & requests and got it done. It’s humbling to be part of such a nice event and the generous donations that come it. Thank you to all that make it possible.

NW MN Hwy9 south of Ada (Norman County) road CLOSED Highway under water. I would not advise using GPS as it might take you on other unsafe gravel roads. Please use posted detours and use common sense 4/14/23 1:00pm

Several overturned & jackknifed semis along with many other vehs are having issues w/obviously slippery roads. Troopers continue to respond & assist reminding folks to slow down & move over while we assist. This pic I-94 near Downer no inj(15 miles east of Moorhead) #DriveSmart

These trailer safety chains held up and did their job after a hitch detached from the receiver after losing its hitch pin/lock. No injuries or other significant damage. I did witness the incident I-94 east of Moorhead. The driver did a fine job of maneuvering during the issue.

St. Cloud area: I94 in BOTH direction is closed due to several jackknifed semi between mp171-178. There should be some rerouting St. Cloud to Clearwater more info

#MSPcrash I94 EB near exit77 (Ashby) preliminary info: the Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle crash. 1st Trooper on scene estimated 50 vehicles involved including several semis. No fatals or life threatening inj. I94 is temp closed at exit 77 EB. (Part 1)
