We need to talk more about mild #MECFS . For those with a progression of the illness it is crucial to understand that even mild symptoms can be #ME . Right now too many fight the idea of having it bc the picture ot severe cases that are most prominent don't fit their current state.

Went to cardiologist today bc of recent heart issues, never been to one before&was prepared for the worst. The doctor however knew #MECFS , listened, assessed the issue accordingly and ordered further exams. So this is what being taken seriously feels like 😯 #MEAwarenessHour

Gute Nachrichten aus dem Land Berlin: Neben der Förderung einer neuen LC/PV Ambulanz mit 1 Mio.€ wurde gerade im Haushalt die zusätzliche Unterstützung des Fatigue-Zentrums von @C_Scheibenbogen mit je 1 Mio € für die nächsten 2 Jahre beschlossen!

Dear #pwMECFs , every year of my illness I add another layer of clothes, now need heating blanket day+night. Since summer 21 I sleep w 3 hoodies,fleece pants+2tights,scarf+hat. I crash badly whenever I'm cold so basically all the time. Why is that?!? Immune syst? C. nervous syst?

Today was my mum's birthday. I managed to sit at the coffee table for an hour before I had to rest again. She spend the whole day getting visits, talking on the phone, having a great day. She's 73, survived cancer and has chronic pain. I'm 36 and have #MECFS . #MEAwarenessHour

@JuliaaaLoe Das tut mir so leid. Mein Neurologe hatte mir damals einen Bescheid ausgestellt, dass eine Reha für mich nicht möglich ist, weil von einer Zustandsverschlechterung ausgegangen werden muss aufgrund fehlender oder ungeeigneter Therapiekonzepte. Hat zum Glück geholfen

Yey, my gp prescribed #Hydrocortisone for me to try out and it wasn't an issue at all that I'll get #Paxlovid in case of a c-infection to (hopefully) prevent a bad relapse of my #MECFS or worse. I went in prepared for everything and just got what I wanted?! This can't be right 😄

I roll with such little personality most of the time that sometimes when I do let some of it show people who dont know me very well are like whoa who’s that? Bro that’s me! It just takes a lot of energy to power a personality. I'm trying to survive.

I read a lot of people's tweets of how they're being gaslighted by loved ones telling them #LC or #MECFS is all in their heads. I'm unbelievably grateful my family and many friends are understanding&supportive. Yet the anxiety that this might change is real, every day

Mir wurde #GdB50 anerkannt, wegen: #ChronischesFatigueSyndrom . Ich habe geheult vor Erleichterung. Zu viele #pwMECFS müssen jahrelang trotz schwerster Erkrankung kämpfen, um überhaupt eine Diagnose zu erhalten. Ein Lichtblick im sehr trüben Bett-Alltag #MEAwarenessHour

Bit morbid but hey: So far I'm an #OrganDonor . With more and more evidence that something is wrong with the blood of #pwMECFS , this is probably a bad idea. I guess this also applies to heart, kidneys and stuff. But what about eyes, skin, tendons? Also too risky?

Hätte morgen Gerichtstermin gehabt. Mir geht es gerade sehr schlecht, bin im crash seit So. Anruf Anwältin: Richter ist krank, Termin fällt aus,puh. Aber: Wie kann es sein, dass das geht, ich aber Strafe zahlen muss u den Prozess riskiere, wenn ich nicht erscheinen kann?

@patatatspeciaal Ich habe mit Hausarzt + Neurologen da einigermaßen gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Was blöd ist, dass ich immer selbst Initiative zeigen, recherchieren und Studien mitbringen muss, was tw über mein Level geht. Aber dann bekomme ich meist, was ich ausprobieren möchte.

have lots of open questions: Were the clots+platelets induced by the vaccines (I had a bad relapse after the first 2) or were they there before? Has my chronic #Lyme anything to do with it? Did me taking blood thinners for some weeks after the v's already dissolve most cloths

Die meisten Frauen, die an #MECFS leiden, werden im Laufe der Diagnosesuche psychiatrisiert, weil die Erkrankung zu unbekannt ist - Hysterie als Stichwort. Viele #LongCovid Erkrankte werden ähnliches erfahren. Frühe Forschung hätte viel Leid verhindern können #MEAwarenessHour

Ist #LongCovid eine östrogenassoziierte Autoimmunerkrankung? Und liegt es daran, dass hauptsächlich Frauen von #MECFS betroffen sind, dass die Krankheit bisher nicht so ernst genommen wurde, weil man bei Frauen Beschwerden schnell psychologisiert?

Last day of #TheNicotineTest for me today. Protocoll: 2d 3,5mg, 7d 7mg, 2d 3,5mg, 2d 1,75mg to wean off. I had little side effects: some sleep issues, a bit more of a headache and dizzyness. Now I'm hoping to avoid a big crash in the next few days 😬
