For anyone who might happen to be interested, all the pieces that I have written, since 2020, regarding the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 can be found here:
Those of us who wear masks, who choose to be safe during the pandemic, are now completely on our own. Our leaders have abandoned us. The media has abandoned us. In many cases, even our families and friends have abandoned us. All we have is our resolution to do the right thing.
The situation at In-N-Out Burger (masks banned for employees) is a stark warning of what is to come.
First, masks are banned for employees of businesses.
Next, masks are banned for customers.
Finally, masks are banned everywhere, in every setting.
This must not be accepted.
Because I am nearly 70, I accept that I will never see the "end" of the pandemic. I will never again know a world that is not cursed with the mass illness and mass mortality that results from Covid-19. Perhaps it could have been different, but too many people chose to be selfish.
Hello, I'm Michael, and this is my wife, Angela. We live in Oregon USA, and wear either Flo Masks or N95s to be safe during the pandemic. We refuse to accept a policy of mass infection and are determined to break the chain of transmission. Please join us in the resistance!
Pandemic, May 2023:
Covid-19 is everywhere, including hospitals and schools.
Masks are not required, and the public believes that masks are not needed.
Current vaccines are weak against new variants.
Mass illness and excess mortality continue to increase.
No end in sight.
I fear that most people, including many who wear masks, do not grasp the full extent of what the pandemic represents. It is not merely a thorny problem that is being "badly handled." It is much worse: it now has the appearance of being a signpost to a dark age of profound misery.
Looking over some of the nasty replies on my Tweets, I find it both sad and appalling that something as easy and helpful as wearing a mask during a pandemic can be regarded as such an unbearable hardship by so many people.
If a person is not willing to do the right thing during a pandemic (which, at the very least, would mean wearing a mask), it can be taken as clear sign that they would probably not be willing to do the right thing in any other situation, and therefore, should never be trusted.
Everyone should be required to wear a mask during the pandemic, but even if every person in the world wore a mask, it would not take us back to "normal," because "normal" is gone forever. Wearing a mask should be seen as an urgent attempt at survival, not as a definitive remedy.
This is my last post for the time being.
Covid-19 is currently out of control, and is certain to cause increasing harm.
Current policies of negligence and denial are not sustainable.
It is a matter of urgent necessity that respirator masks be required in all public spaces.
Wearers of masks belong to a community of rational souls, collectively shining a light into the darkness of the pandemic. Together we are taking a stand against Covid-19. Although we are outnumbered by those who have surrendered to the virus, we represent the only way forward.
Our leaders know that, having succeeded in removing masks from medical settings, no evil act is forbidden now. They will conclude, quite correctly, that if the public is willing to accept a total lack of safety in healthcare during a pandemic, the public will accept anything.
If people in need of medical care cannot receive that care without also being infected by Covid-19, because doctors and nurses are not wearing masks, it is beyond question that the situation is unethical and unacceptable. The medical community has lost its fundamental morality.
A handful of home truths:
Covid-19 is not your friend.
Refusing to wear a mask is not an expression of freedom.
Constant sickness is not a sustainable lifestyle.
Repeated infection is not a means of strengthening immunity.
Dismissing the pandemic is not a rational outlook.
By the time most people begin to have an awareness of how much damage they have suffered from their repeated infections of Covid-19, and then discover that no effective remedy is currently available, they will probably regret their foolish, reckless decision not to wear a mask.
If you have been closely following the current news about Covid-19, you know that conditions are already extremely bad, but wait until you see where we are six months from now, and a year from now. We are heading into an unknown territory of danger, and it will be a one-way trip.
If nothing is done to stop the rampant spread of Covid-19, it could end in human extinction. If you regard those words as unduly extreme, think again. Look around at what is happening. How much longer can things continue as they are, without it ensuring the most grievous outcome?
So, it seems that allowing a fatal virus to spread in an uncontrolled manner, thereby causing millions of citizens to be repeatedly infected, is not good for the "economy."
The profound evil of masks not being required in medical settings, during a pandemic of an airborne virus, cannot be overstated. It is grievously wrong. Even worse, the apparent public acceptance of that policy is an alarming sign that human morality has been irreparably damaged.
The removal of masks from medical settings is where we must throw down the gauntlet. We must draw a firm line and make it absolutely clear that such brazen negligence is completely unacceptable. If this evil policy is allowed to continue, the final cost will be unbearably high.
I suspect that even many of those who wear masks do not entirely understand how urgently we need to take strong action against Covid-19. The pandemic will not continue in its current mode much longer. Without action being taken, it will, inevitably, become immeasurably worse.
If one takes an honest view, there is little, if any, hope to be found in the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19. The virus is out of control, safety measures have been abandoned, and denial prevails. We must now toughen ourselves for the extreme horror that is undoubtedly ahead of us.
When the children of the pandemic begin to grasp the full extent of what has been done to them by their elders, and start to understand how much damage they have suffered as a result of being forced into repeated infections of Covid-19, their bitterness will be fearful to behold.
Pandemic, 2023.
No masks. No tests. No safety. No caution. No data. No reports. No warnings. No leadership. No truth. No integrity. No morality. No logic. No concern. No care. No comfort. No relief. No pity.
No help. No hope. No escape.
No future?
We are at a fateful stage of the pandemic. In particular, the removal of masks from medical settings is undeniable proof that public health has utterly failed. We must express vehement opposition now, when it is most necessary, or history will condemn us for holding our tongues.
To repeat an earlier thought: the goal of wearing masks is not to hasten a return to "normalcy." The goal is to have a chance at survival. The pandemic will not pass and be forgotten. The pandemic is an ongoing threat to the future of mankind. If we fail now, we fail forever.
Out for a walk on a chilly autumn afternoon. Because I prefer not to take chances, I am wearing an N95, to avoid being infected with Covid-19 by any maskless fools who might be passing by.
The fierce contagion of Covid-19 is pushing us into an unknown realm of perpetual illness. How many repeated infections will it take to cause a total breakdown in the collective health of the human community? The answer to that question is likely to come sooner rather than later.
Those who are not willing to wear a mask (N95 or better) during the ongoing pandemic, for the benefit of themselves and others, have betrayed the fundamental value of their own being.
The world that we have known is passing away. The passing actually started before the pandemic of Covid-19 arrived, but the rampant spread of Covid-19 is hastening the process. Those who fail to grasp the full scale of what is happening, also fail to grasp how much will be lost.
Most people have not figured it out yet, and never will, but mankind is not likely to survive the pandemic of Covid-19. Our fate was sealed when rampant contagion became standard policy. It is now beyond any doubt that the uncontrolled spread of Covid-19 will cause our downfall.
"There are two ways to be fooled: one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe what is true." Soren Kierkegaard
Those who deny the threat of Covid-19, and pretend that the pandemic is not still happening, are fooling themselves in both ways.
Wearing a mask during the pandemic is not only a matter of preserving the health of yourself and others. It is also a matter of preserving the principles of humanity that bind us together, principles that are being weakened by one of the most grievous threats in human history.
If you can see what is actually happening in the pandemic, and understand how dangerous the situation has become, please do not keep quiet. It is essential that we speak out now, loudly and strongly. Together, we must make our voices heard. Everything that we value is at stake.
Strange times. During a pandemic in which a fatal virus is spreading through the air, few people are wearing masks. Those who administer public health are encouraging the public to embrace infection. As many millions are killed, most people pretend that nothing is happening.
Shouting into the void is inevitably subject to diminishing returns, so I am stepping away for now.
Thank you to all who have valued my words here.
Be advised that the pandemic of Covid-19 is not over.
Without doubt, the worst is yet to come.
Stay safe, and avoid infection.
Apart from the main priority of avoiding Covid-19 itself, how does one get through a plague of disease and delusion without losing one's mind? Many of us are feeling the strain. I am certainly feeling it, but I will not allow my spirit to be broken by the forces of brute denial.
I view the pandemic as being the worst thing that has ever happened during my lifetime of seven decades. It is likely to also turn out to be the worst thing that has ever happened in the history of the world. As things stand now, I fear that Covid-19 will have the final word.
My view of Covid-19 and its dangers is not the result of special information, available only to me. It is not that I know "more" than other people, it is merely that I choose to acknowledge the grim truth that can be easily seen all around me, while most people choose to deny it.
When the pandemic finally reaches a stage in which the denial of Covid-19 that currently prevails can no longer withstand the brute force of mass illness and excess mortality happening everywhere on an unprecedented scale, the situation will soon descend into unbridled horror.
The way in which Covid-19 spreads is easily understood: a person who carries the virus breathes it out, and everyone near that person breathes it in. It is, therefore, self-evident that if masks are worn and indoor air is properly filtered, the process of infection is thwarted.
At this stage of the pandemic, the situation is unquestionably bad. Covid-19 is running wild. We are surrounded by contagion and negligence, with the virus having gained the upper hand. Frankly, I am not hopeful of the final outcome, but I will resist to the best of my ability.
I am aware that my comments regarding the pandemic of Covid-19 are taken as "too gloomy" by many people, but I stand by my words. I write what I see, and what I see is unremittingly dreadful. I want to bear witness, as honestly as I can, to the fundamental truth of our situation.
Hello, new followers! As the pandemic goes from bad to worse, with governments allowing the free spread of Covid-19 and many citizens choosing to surrender, every person who can think and care, who aspires to be rational and benevolent, is needed in the struggle to be safe.
It is starkly clear that most people do not perceive the depth of the evil that has befallen us during the past few years of the pandemic. With Covid-19 having free reign, many essential qualities, public and private, are now in jeopardy, including kindness, honesty, and trust.
If we cannot receive medical care without being infected by Covid-19, because masks are not required in medical settings, we are being deprived of our fundamental right to safety. Why are there no expressions of protest from
@amnesty
,
@hrw
, and other human rights organizations?
The pandemic of Covid-19 has caused a noticeable change in the human community: it now seems that most people are no longer pretending to be good. No longer pretending to be kind or honest or caring. No longer pretending to be anything other than foolish and reckless and selfish.
When those who rule us saw how easily they got away with removing masks and other safety measures from medical settings, at the height of an airborne pandemic, it told them, beyond any doubt, that they could get away with anything, no matter how negligent it might be.
As bad as the situation is now, with all the authorities and most of the public denying the pandemic, the worst is yet to come. We are moving toward ruthless dishonesty and collective madness on an unprecedented scale, which will allow Covid-19 to do more damage than ever.
Christmas greetings to all who wear respirator masks, use caution in daily activities, and willingly do their utmost to avoid spreading the dangerous contagion of Covid-19.
You are the only bulwark against the negligence of our leaders and the recklessness of the masses.
The world is now divided, perhaps permanently, into "those with masks" and "those without masks." Two separate mentalities: one, with masks, responding in a necessary manner to a fatal virus, and the other, without masks, lost in a collective delusion that "everything is fine."
I can hardly believe what I am now witnessing: many millions of people scorning masks and other safety measures, compliantly allowing themselves to be herded into the slaughterhouse of Covid-19, clutching their delusions of immunity to the end. A dreadful, needless waste of life.
The pandemic has shown public morality to be a fraud. If you look around at family, friends, and neighbors, most of whom are denying the pandemic and shunning masks, what do you see? Honesty? Integrity? Care and concern? Or, more likely, a display of selfishness and negligence?
I am 70 years old.
If the dangerous contagion of Covid-19 continues to spread everywhere with no measures of control, repeatedly infecting nearly everyone, many millions who are younger than me will never reach my age.
Stopping the spread of Covid-19 is an urgent necessity.
As we move through wave after wave of Covid-19, living in a continual wave of contagion, we get further away from the world as it was before the pandemic. That world is gone forever. In the current world, the virus has taken control, because our leaders have allowed it to do so.
How bad does the pandemic have to get, to force most people to grasp the situation? How much mass illness will it take, and how much excess mortality? How many lives must be ruined? How many corpses must pile up? How much misery is needed, to make people finally see the truth?
Most people do not grasp the full extent of the threat that Covid-19 represents. Even most of those who wear masks fail to see that our time is running out. They imagine that Covid-19 can be stopped through slow, moderate actions, but what is needed are urgent, extreme measures.
No question that we have arrived at a more dangerous stage of the pandemic. Unfortunately, as things get worse, many people will retreat even deeper into blind denial. For the rest of us, now is the time to take a firm stand.
As western democracies simultaneously declare the pandemic over & discard the remaining mitigations left in hospitals & long term care facilities I don't need to remind those of you who still care that we are entering dangerous times & now is not the time to let your guard down.
Covid-19 has changed everything forever. We can never return to the life that we had before the virus arrived. We must now choose: we can either acknowledge the truth and take necessary action to achieve public safety, or we can deny the truth, thereby ensuring the worst outcome.
My view of the pandemic is shaped by a fundamental belief that human life is ineffably valuable, and should always be shielded from harm. I have shuddered at the stark horror of Covid-19 spreading unchecked throughout the world, causing many millions of lives to be thrown away.
Do not allow yourself to be fooled by the lies of governments and the media. Covid-19 has gained the upper hand, and the pandemic is not likely to have a happy ending. If you are smart, you will start to prepare yourself, mentally and otherwise, for the worst conceivable outcome.
I never doubted that the pandemic of Covid-19 would turn out badly, because life has taught me that most people are inclined to be selfish: they care only about their own comfort and convenience, and show no concern whatsoever for the collective well-being of their fellow humans.
The pandemic is being driven by many untoward factors, both overt and subtle, but chief among them is pure selfishness. Since March, 2020, a dreadful truth has been revealed: most people do not care about anyone but themselves. That selfishness is helping the virus to destroy us.
The absence of masks in medical settings is grievously immoral. Doctors and nurses who refuse to wear masks, who carelessly reject necessary measures to stop the spread of Covid-19, are guilty of extreme negligence. They have chosen to act in a manner that is profoundly evil.
As the danger of the pandemic increases, and it becomes harder to avoid Covid-19, do not fall prey to doubt.
Wearing a mask and resisting infection is, unquestionably, the right thing to do.
Don't give up, don't give in.
You are stronger than you think.
Hang tough! ๐ทโ๏ธ
How could fathers and mothers send their own children, without masks, into the heavy contagion of Covid-19, purposely allowing them to be repeatedly infected? How could they permit their own offspring to be put into such overt danger? How could they be so unforgivably negligent?
I call upon doctors and nurses everywhere to resist the removal of masks from medical settings. I beseech you to engage in open resistance, to preserve the lives of others and to preserve your own integrity. If you do not resist, you will stand condemned as enemies of humanity.
When the dam of denial finally breaks, as it must and as it will, and the hideous truth of Covid-19 comes flooding out, covering the unprepared masses, many will be drowned in the dreadful knowledge of what has been done to them, and even worse, what they have done to themselves.
Mr. & Mrs. M, out for an afternoon walk in the neighborhood, wearing their respirator masks, as always, to keep safe during the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19.
Although I will continue to push for strong measures against Covid-19, I have no illusions. We are, quite probably, heading for a heinous end. An end that might have been avoided if everyone had worn masks, and if effective action had been taken to stop the spread of the virus.
Covid-19 will not relent on its own. Unless strong action is taken against the virus, a big change is coming. Everything that most people take for granted will fall apart. Safety and security will decline, common rules will be abandoned, and human life will be rendered worthless.
Only a fool, or a murderer, would believe that allowing a fatal virus to move through the world without hindrance is preferable to a policy of containing and eradicating it.
Doctors and nurses who balk at wearing respirator masks, during an ongoing pandemic of airborne disease, are morally unfit to work in a medical setting.
Remember: if the removal of masks from medical settings is not strongly challenged, and swiftly reversed, the game is over, and we have lost permanently. From there, it will all be downhill.
Unbelievable thread. A piece of grim comedy. It seems that everyone in Liverpool (a wonderful city, close to my hometown of Warrington) has a "cold," a "cough," etc. Hardly any mention of Covid-19. Why do people not understand that allowing it to spread is utter madness?
After WWII, most Germans were less than contrite about their support for the Nazis. Instead, they expressed defiance: "I didn't know anything," "I did nothing wrong," etc. Will we hear the same excuses from doctors and nurses who are now shunning masks and other safety measures?
Out for a walk in the neighborhood, but taking no chances, because the unseen danger of uncontrolled Covid-19 is everywhere.
Wearing a respirator mask to stay safe, continuing my lifelong habit of rebellion against the reckless masses.
With the virus now out of control, it is probable that the general structure of everyday life will begin to fall apart, sooner rather than later. When that happens, conditions will become increasingly harsh, and only those who prepare for the worst will have any hope of enduring.
Because so many instances of Covid-19 are asymptomatic, which means that harm is not readily apparent, most people do not understand that the current stage of the pandemic is far worse than it appears.
All of us who are fully aware of Covid-19 and its heinous dangers, who acknowledge the stark threat posed by the virus, have a duty to speak up, to promote masks and other safety measures. We must uphold the truth of the pandemic, because if we do not, no one else will do it.
The pandemic is a battle of wills. Our leaders are determined to grind us down, to force us into a servile life of continual infection. For many of us who dare to resist, courage and resolve are starting to wear thin, but we must hang tough. We must never give up, never give in.
In the fourth year of the pandemic, with Covid-19 everywhere, repeated infections rampant, mass illness and excess mortality at record highs, negligence becoming standard, and casual denial prevailing, the difficult question that arises is, "Where are we likely to go from here?"
We who wear respirator masks to avoid uncontrolled Covid-19 are a breed apart.
We are steadfast in doing what is necessary to maintain safety, and we are not afraid to go against the grain of overwhelming denial.
We are hugely outnumbered, but we are firmly in the right.
Requiring masks in all public indoor spaces is the absolute least that must be done, if we are ever to make a start at controlling the spread of Covid-19. Requiring masks is clearly an urgent necessity, but to be effective, it must be done everywhere, and it must be done soon.
The pandemic appears to be taking the worst course that it could take. In 2023, Covid-19 is spreading freely everywhere. All safety measures are gone. Mass illness and excess mortality are increasing daily. Everything is at stake: our health, our morality, our future, our lives.
Every person must decide where they will stand within the ongoing pandemic. Wear a mask, or embrace infection? Try to restrain the virus, or help to spread it? Uphold public health, or accept collective illness? Choose safety, or choose danger? Show kindness, or show selfishness?
People want to be hopeful about the pandemic, but the current outlook is dismal. I am old, so I have no thought of "surviving," but I do intend to go down with my integrity intact, which is why I will continue to affirm that stopping the spread of Covid-19 is a moral necessity.
Although I miss the life that I had before the pandemic, I understand that it will never return. That life was never perfect, but it was more pleasing than my life has been since the pandemic began. I know, however, that Covid-19 does not care how I feel, one way or the other.
For the current generation of young people, there are no "future prospects."
Because of Covid-19, many young people of 2023 will never grow old.
Many will not survive into middle age.
Many children will not reach their teen years.
Repeated infections will destroy them.
Most people do not understand the danger of Covid-19.
Most people do not even want to understand the danger, preferring to rely on denial.
If most people did understand the danger of Covid-19, they would never, never, never, never allow themselves to be infected.
If anyone in your household is not wearing a mask in all public spaces, it is inevitable that, sooner or later, everyone in your household will be infected by Covid-19.
By this time next year, after 12 more months of uncontrolled contagion, the full horror of Covid-19 will be bearing down heavily upon us, leaving no doubt that the future of mankind has been fatally compromised. By then, public carelessness will be giving way to fear and regret.
Any policy that fails to require masks in all medical settings, during a pandemic in which a potentially fatal virus is being transmitted from person to person through the air, is a deliberate act of mass murder.

Call me a "conspiracy theorist," but I believe that wealthy capitalists are engaged in a brutal conspiracy of cunning evil (starting wars, polluting our planet, spreading fatal diseases, stealing from the poor), and I do, indeed, have a number of "theories" about that conspiracy.
The pandemic constitutes a ruthless assault on human morality. Denying the danger of Covid-19 has, in itself, become a kind of virus. Most people are now acting wrongly, as German citizens did during the Nazi years: accepting, supporting, and enabling policies of monstrous evil.
I will soon be 70. If I was a young person today, I would be unsparingly angry at those members of the older generation who have lied, cheated, waged constant wars, wrecked the climate, and allowed the spread of Covid-19, making a selfish, immoral, murderous mess of the world.
