News from Jefferson City today. Jonathan Irons has had his conviction vacated by Judge Green this morning. Irons was convicted if burglary and assault in 1998. WNBA player Maya Moore is a family friend and has been advocating for his release alongside her family.

Game 5 of the WNBA Finals averaged 440,000 on ESPN2. That's down from last year's SEA-WASH clinching G3 (519,000 on ESPN2) & down fr. mega 2017 G5 clincher (907,000 on ESPN). ESPN does a great job w. women's hoops full stop. But it would really makes a diff if all Finals on ESPN.

The strength shown today by WNBA and NBA players is beyond admirable. Part of me is upset that these players are the ones who are looked at to make sacrifices in their careers. We all need to find ways to make the same bold sacrifices. This can't be on them solely.

1st, the Commissioner of the @wnba is addressing this problem. 2nd, I’d respond to @KLoeffler with none of us in the W see systemic racism as a political issue. #BLM shines a bright light on the issues facing black people and that equality isn’t for all and that MUST CHANGE.
