Some of you know that my husband has cancer. He'll start chemo in 2 weeks for 81 days. And more bad news this week, he has a second, unrelated cancer as well that will require radiation, 5 days a week for six weeks. Talk about a double whammy. Prayers appreciated!

Had a young man from the DeSantis campaign knock on my door. When I opened the door I said "I'm all in!" He asked a few questions and we chatted. He said other that one man who threatened his group, and one woman that cursed at them, they've been well received. 300 doors today.

Got some good news yesterday...as good as it can be for someone with cancer. The radiation oncologist came up with a plan to treat the bladder and tonsil cancer concurrently to see if hubby's bladder can be saved. If so, NO SURGERY. Praise God! Prayers still greatly appreciated!

I'm so happy. Hubby ate a huge plate of pasta, the most I've seen him eat in weeks! I told him if he wants pasta 3 meals a day 7 days a week I WILL MAKE IT for him. Little things are sometimes the best things. Cancer still sucks, but God is good all the time!

Today is our 35th wedding anniversary. It's quiet, he still hasn't fully recovered from the procedure. So we just made a toast to us over hot chocolate to celebrate. Don't ever question that the sweetest things in life can be some of the smallest moments. Be thankful for those!

No chemo today. All 4 doctors conferred and decided a different chemo cocktail was needed to work on both cancers. And that has to be submitted through insurance again. I'm grateful they're being careful and making sure they have approvals...but dang that's frustrating!

@JillSAnthony The light in this is the polls were wrong, DeSantis outperformed all of those and came in second, not 3rd or 4th. And Vivek dropped out in a dismal 4th place showing. Now we bounce Haley out and we have a fighting chance.
