This may be too controversial for the pristine lawn people but I won't be raking my beech leaves from our lawn. Please don't tell me it will degrade my lawn as haven't raked for 3 years, no ill effects. I know this will trigger some in the village and I'm happy with that 😊
Been collecting rubbish on our road coming into the village. Seems someone likes a particular brand of beer. Amongst other issues they are lazy. Anyway found a tenner for my troubles, result 😊👍
I have a regular arrangement with a delivery guy where I give him any small eggs I’ve graded out. We’ve had the “I feel guilty” conversation that he has nothing to give me. He does because I feel a better person to have helped another in some way. Isn’t this how humanity works 🤔
My first born has been nominated for an Eisner, big one too. Eisners are like the comics industry's equivalent to the Academy Awards. You deserve this Zoe 🤞💪💪💪🖋️✏️🎨
I’m nominated for an Eisner award for best writer/artist!!! Very thrilled but mostly thrilled that it is for writing that includes references to sonic the hedgehog porn. Thank you so much for your support, LET’S GET THIS BAG

carrots of the year, really happy with these. Variety from memory is Jeanette F1, grown for several year now and they are the tastiest carrots I've ever grown.

My latest nature area now has a resident vole? Living in the log pile. Saw it again today, never keeps still. Think I should give it a name, suggestions please?
It’s not the material things I care much about as a result of flooding. It’s the loss of dreams and time lost in the pursuit. Wildflower nursery completely flooded 😔 hopefully something will survive 🤞
2nd sowing of spinach very healthy looking. Struggling to eat it all, I'm not turning green yet 🤣 Giving to friends and family. Need to consider freezing some.

Good morning 👋 Just checking on my 97 YO father-in-law. Didn’t know he had a pet wood pigeon that came into the house for a snack every day. Found this very wholesome 😊
These early Nantes type carrots were planted late as my early season carrots were shocking by my standards. These quite perfect and we shall have a carrot feast tonight. Will probably munch on one on the way home 🧡🧡

One of the best things about having clean work trousers on is that they are ideal for cleaning off the dirt from a freshly pulled carrot when one is feeling peckish 😋

I’ve never understood the need to go to an overcrowded beach home or abroad. Give me a sunny, sheltered spot surrounded by trees, nature and birdsong any day. Sorry for imposing my face on you, 🤔cheesy smile or look thoughtful chose latter but can do former 😄👍
With all the interest in naming my new vole friend it made me think of one of my best photos I took July last year of a rare Water Vole which lives in a bank opposite one of our woods. I look at it and can’t believe my luck, just look at its little face 😍
I very rarely harvest parsnips before a frost but I think it’s going to be a good year,so going to break the first rule of parsnips. Dug up by hand as left spade at the house. Weighs 980g and it’s immediate neighbour will sign with relief 😄

Good morning everyone, eaten all my 2023 onions it was great while it lasted will have to be like most people and buy them 😔 still got leeks though 🥳 praise be the mighty leek 😊
Believe it or not this is a parsnip not a sugar beet. Even by my standards this is colossal. 15cm diameter crown, 45cm length and weighs 1861 grams. A monster indeed, will be having some roasted with lamb tonight 😋💛

Watched “Michael Mosley: Secrets of Your Big Shop”. Very interesting health benefits of eating Beetroot including improving blood flow to extremities hence theoretical Viagra claims. Love beetroot and have been known to eat beetroot sandwiches 🚀😉 growing more of these bad boys
Good morning. Yesterday I packed my rucksack with a KitKat, apple and a banana. Left at 8:30 for a walk with camera and didn’t come back till 16:30. It was bliss being able to do what I wanted at my own pace. Lunch could have been more exciting though. Have a good day if u can 😊
“Man cannot live on parsley alone”, shame. Got to dig most of this up to make way for another vegetable but something is telling me not to. Maybe with this cold spell that is all I shall have to eat 😉😄
What a difference in 36 hours. Flood water has receded from the wildflower nursery. Seedlings look a dirty green but think they will be alright 🤞😊 looking forward to a relaxing evening as this weekend has been challenging but most importantly we are ready for work tomorrow 💪😊

There’s not a single berry left here on one of our hawthorn hedges , all eaten now. Such a vital source of food. Just been on a walk where the hedges flailed to an inch of their life. Guess what, not a single bird in 30 minute walk, void of nature 🤔😔
I'm so excited to have caught this water vole so close to the farm. I have been told they exist here but never seen one until today. Such a find and so cute 😍

Our wonderful pair of Barn owls have produced this fantastic brood of 4 owlets. The smallest was kept in a bag as it was a little bit stressed while being ringed. Farm management has lead to high level of food to maintain this number and size 😍😍😍😍

Good morning all👋 it all starts with splitting up a single clump. I have a lot of snowdrops and bluebells on the farm in concentrated areas. Wish I had enough time to spread throughout our woods. May get it done before 💀 😉😄
I’ve just totalled our last 6 month rainfall figures since September last year and EVERY month exceeded their respective average. In total we have received 178% more rainfall over the last 6 months. A load more tomorrow.
I’m still alive with no ill effects after eating a load of wild mushrooms last night, a result 👍 here’s a Robin to cheer you all up this morning. If it doesn’t, stop being such a grumpy sod 😉😄
I need to do something to preserve my chillies. Didn’t get on very well with my dehydrator, seemed to take far too long. May just string them up, suggestions please 🤔

Had a great mornings photography, over 1600 shots. Due to all the twigs around this kingfisher this was never going to be a great picture but the colours are too amazing not to share 💙😍
French beans picked for tea tonight 😋, a lot more to follow in the next couple of days providing I can get some watering done 💦🔥

We’ve got a young couple from the village that gathers scraps of wood from the roadside to heat their home. Found some nice ash logs from our wood to give them. The reward of course is the genuine gratitude. I 🤔 when Mrs T & I had very little but each other. Always help if u can
In over 30 years of marriage I can count on two hands the number of days we’ve been apart. Today Mrs T is 180 miles away in Bristol with a broken down van. I’m feeling stressed for her so cooked myself loads of air fried home grown potato chips and vegan burgers for consolation😋
