Ryan Neal stands out as the
#Seahawks
most notable restricted free agent.
Would you place a second round tender worth $4.304 million on him to retain him? Why or why not?

@CorbinSmithNFL
I’d rather have him than Adams at this point. I think you gotta keep Neal. But how much $ do you want to spend on the safety position going forward? It’s not truly considered a high value $$$ position.
@Locked_Seahawks
I want to say yes, but paying $4.3 million for a player who will eventually be the third safety on this team gives me hesitation.
Especially with the safety talent in this year’s draft class, I think they could find their dime safety for much cheaper.
I do love Neal though.
@Locked_Seahawks
Absolutely. He isn't without his struggles at times, but he has 3 interceptions, a forced fumble, and a sack since 2020, while only starting 19 games. Tariq Woolen and Quandre Diggs were the only hawks to allow a lower passer rating in 2022. I would say he is well worth it.
@Locked_Seahawks
@CorbinSmithNFL
He was
@PFF
's 4th ranked safety in 2022. A second-round tender at $4.3 mil is worth it. I would be fine with a first-round tender at $6 mil
@Locked_Seahawks
Absolutely! We need to get him signed. 2 years in a row he has changed our defense. He plays fast and down hill. Personally I want him and Diggs at S and bring Jamal up to be a OLB or call him whatever you want but let him live at the line of scrimmage and wreck havoc up there.
@Locked_Seahawks
Definitely would put the tender.
When we had 6 safties including him; I was shocked about the rumors we were trading for Jamal Adams.
I was expecting us to trade for an edge or interior passrusher.
Then saw two 1sts; SMH
Neal has proven that he can start at SS.
Keep him there.
@Locked_Seahawks
Yep. Need the insurance behind two dudes who both play very physically, and get hurt sometimes, for doing so. Neal has been a solid contributor whenever he plays
