My brother is dying. Haven't had the best relationship as he drank himself to death w/bipolar illness, but I put a roof over his head the past ten years. He won't last long without oxygen. The morphine is dripping.
He was so talented. So smart. Such a lovely boy. Hurts.

I am sad Linda, I lost my mom 3 years minus 4 days ago. I was happy that I moved in with her the final few months. It is wonderful that you are there for him to enjoy the quality time.

I lost a friend to bipolar illness. He was extremely smart, but he lost his job, his wife divorced him, and I think that he just gave up, and he ended up in the hospital in a coma and ultimately died. Bipolar illness is a very difficult disease to understand and help with.

Thanks, Darla. It was mostly the alcoholism causing damage to the heart. But he just would not stop.
