to the academy today for an afternoon tea with our Student Parliament, where he presented our trophy for the UK Parliament โSchool of the Yearโ Award and engaged in a lively Q&A session with our students.
We're delighted to announce that we have won 'School of The Year' at the UK Parliament Awards.
This is a real testament to how dedicated our students and staff are to transforming our communities and making a difference.

Last week Mr Carrington was able to deliver Year 7 student Faith an Amazon Alexa and a pack of stationery for the unbelievable amount of work she has completed online during the school closure. Faith has answered 5873 questions on educake & topped the leader board. Well done!

Today we wanted to say a big thank you to our wonderful staff so we invited the

Our Student Parliament had a question-and-answer session with their local MP, Richard Burgon this afternoon.
They discussed their manifestos, how to launch effective petitions as well as important issues that we need to tackle in the community.

launch. Our pupils behaved impeccably and offered wonderful contributions. They worked with other schools to compose a song, using rhyming words, which they titled 'The Reading Hour'.

Last week, we had our first session for our new Empower Year 10 cohort.
We are excited to watch the confidence of our students grow and receive a Student Leadership Qualification, which is the equivalent to a GCSE!
