Hello, I’m an artist from the UK and I love to paint moody settings in eerie yet familiar worlds. Some recent paintings I’ve created so far this year:

Once AI works out how to do hands then this deepfake crap is going to be one of the biggest problems the world has faced. It has the potential to be extremely damaging and we are sleepwalking into a nightmare with this. I hate everything about it.
The hand strikes again🖖: these photos allegedly shot at a French protest rally yesterday look almost real - if it weren't for the officer's six-fingered glove

Developer buys pub. Developer is refused planning permission. Developer demolishes it anyway -in breach of planning laws and in spite of the fact it was being considered for Grade II listing.
Period of public uproar. Developer is ordered to rebuild it brick-by-brick. Glorious.

My three year old calls it ‘this day’ instead of ‘today’ and I shall never correct him. ‘Is it going to be sunny this day?’ ‘What are we playing this day?’. Thinking of adopting it myself.
I seldom get involved with hashtags but I'll make an exception here. Hi, I'm Lee - I'm a painter based in the UK. My paintings can be a touch mysterious and I find beauty in abandonment, dereliction, and brooding skies.

Okaaay, I don’t look at Twitter for a few hours and this happens. All I’m saying is that AI needs to be curbed before we get too blasé. We’re already in the misinformation age, dread to think what it’ll look like in just 5 or 10 years time.

Like anything when things like this get in the wrong hands we’re doomed. There clearly is an innocence with it, it’s fun and it’s clever but this type of technology will be used in a way that’s very harmful, I have no doubt.
I was a bit upset that the school cancelled our children’s first nativity play a couple of weeks ago. All that work practicing songs and reciting their lines, I thought. But I’ve since watched a recorded version of it online and it was fucking awful so don’t feel so bad now.
And yes images like the above do look fake when scrutinised but stuff like this is shared thousands of times over and when looked at at a glance by the masses they’re taken at face value. AI will continue to improve and when used maliciously it’ll have significant consequences.
I like fog. I like how it alters our surroundings. I like the mystery it creates, the muffled sounds, the still cold air. I like how shapes and detail slowly come into focus as you walk through it like a late 90s computer game. I do like fog.
Hi

, I’m a painter from England. I’m a fan of abandoned buildings and quiet, mildly foreboding landscapes. Here are just four examples. (All oil/acrylic on canvas.)
'Works from the Current Time'. Four new paintings of mine are now available to view and purchase online

. My planned larger gallery solo show has now been moved to 2021.
The lost ivy-clad village of Houtouwan on the small Chinese island of Shengshan. Once an active fishing community, inhabitants started to desert their homes in the '90s as it became too difficult to compete with mainland's thriving industry.
Um, well, this went a bit nuts. Also, I feel I must apologise for the missing comma. Anyway, whilst you’re here, I may as well use this opportunity to unashamedly promote myself. So I’ll just leave this here:
