Black women are twice as likely to be overweight, have heart attacks, develop diabetes, lupus, & hepatitis C. They also 3 times less likely to seek help for depression and anxiety as our white counterparts. So when I tell you we need holistic wellness more than anybody I mean it.
Sometimes I feel so weird explaining to someone how inconsiderate they were in a situation. It’s like if you didn’t feel yourself wildin, idk what’s left to say.

i quickly noticed that the more you complain the universe starts giving you more things to complain about. the same goes for gratitude. the more we focus on the positives, more positivity flows into our lives.
lately a lot of doctors have been putting me on to how terrible mixing fruits and veggies in a smoothie is. especially for people with IBS or gut issues.
romanticize your life every chance you get. there’s so much luxury in the small things like waking up early, stretching, matching pajamas, etc. there’s beauty in everything.
one thing i quickly noticed is the more i take care of myself, the more things take care of me. better opportunities, better blessings all come my way when i show up for myself.

I know it sounds crazy but I want my partner and I to prepare our bodies to have a baby for like a year before we start trying. Just eating super clean, exercising, and going to therapy, etc.
my hot take is i don’t think anybody should be dating until their shit is together. eating healthy, working out regularly, having a morning routine, a spiritual practice, a therapist, financial discipline. things like that have to come first.
we should not be waking up and immediately hopping on our phone. stretch, journal, read, exercise. get your mind-body right before soaking up other peoples thoughts + opinions.

Been taking tumeric + ginger + lemon + honey shots, first thing in the morning everyday for over a month now and I don’t know what the science is, but I feel great. My skin is clearer and my menstrual cramps are almost nonexistent.
i know i’m not the only one that feels this intense shift happening. it feels like shedding new skin to become bigger. to make space for more even more abundance. it’s time.
it’s never too late to change the energy for the day. even if you woke up late or aggravated, take time out 5 mins to breathe, meditate, journal or read. this reset makes all the difference.
i never understood what people meant when they said ‘happiness is a choice’ but now i see that every day you have to actively choose to focus on what’s going right, what you’re good at, and what you already have.
today we lost another light hour. this is the beginning of SAD season and we have to be extra diligent with our habits. less screen time, a better morning routine, magnesium, vitamin d, mini blood builders, probiotics and daily ginger, turmeric shots for the win.
luxury doesn’t always have to be expensive or designer. it can be having more time for yourself in the mornings, being in silence, drinking more water, stretching your body, eating more fresh fruits. that’s luxurious too.

the habit of grabbing your phone first thing in the morning stems from wanting to feel connected, in the know, or seeking a sense of intimacy. take this time in the morning to give yourself more love. pray, stretch, journal, meditate, just. tune in with you first.
