Larry Mahan, one of rodeo’s biggest stars, passed away on Sunday, May 7. He was 79 years of age.
He was an inspiration to so many generations of rodeo athletes, and he will be missed. Our deepest and most sincere condolences go out to his family and many friends.
Today we lost a true country music icon... Toby Keith was always a friend to Las Vegas and the Wrangler NFR. We were so lucky to have had him here one last time in 2023 during the rodeo with his sold-out performances at Dolby Live. We will certainly miss you, Cowboy.
It is unfortunate that Las Vegas is unable to host the Wrangler NFR. We congratulate the PRCA for finding a home in 2020. However, we look forward to hosting the Wrangler NFR in Las Vegas – December 2-11, 2021 – and continuing through 2025.
