I never like to pass blame on the Ref or TMO. It’s a complex game and a tough job, errors are made. But a top-of-the-table clash with an already hugely diminished @Saracens side saw a forward-pass ‘try’ awarded and now a card reducing us to 14 men rescinded. It’s not good enough.

So my little man is leaving us and heading to Boarding School on a rugby scholarship. Today was his last day after six years with his friends and has been full of love and tears. Receiving this from his hero and inspiration out in SA has absolutely made his day @maroitoje 🙌🏼❤️

Another tweet questioning our integrity. The excellent A-team we fielded with Earle, Goode, Isiekwe, Tizard & Wray etc. The A-team that were only 9 points short playing 14 men against a full strength Saints. We don’t gift other teams points, we protect our players using rotation.

I find the bitterness and blame extraordinary. How embarrassing of some to lay the blame of their Club not qualifying for the Champions Cup on the team selection of another. How does one display so little insight into their own clubs performance over the season. #saracens

I too understand some of the criticism of Farrell in regard to kicking, but only in that regard. As @CharlieFelix has noted below, it’s not difficult to see why he’s an invaluable part of the team. Unless of course you just don’t want to, and that’s something different altogether
