Harder & Fleming's substitutions were key. Both were important in transition but also in pressing. Fleming making up as a third AM/CM kept City matched and Harder was finding space and controlling the ball for Chelsea in midfield and higher up.

Both Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg produced season defining performances this week with Bayern putting in a big win too. German football is well and truly alive and well. More people need to be paying attention to them. Wouldn’t rule out one of them being in the UWCL final.

Interesting that Magda’s been left out when Chelsea are playing an obvious 3-4-3 in build up being a natural left footer and progressive build up option. Carter’s good but not the best fit there imo

Yeah this line up makes sense. Protect Perisset with Charles ahead of her. You need the double up on both sides. Cuthbert imo is key today. Big game for Cankovic to create under pressure for Kerr and Reiten

What an incredible performance from Chelsea! No means a smash and grab, but tactically spot on from Emma. Nüsken/Erin immense with denying the switch and play through and Mayra a beast upfront with her hold up play. Drogba like performance

Chelsea prominently using a 3-4-1-2 in attacking transition and build up. Interestingly, Carter is pushing up a tad bit more than Buchanan when there’s a opportunity.

Yeah, outside of Damaris, Jean-Francois was one of the best DMs in France. Injury curtailed her development but it's an obvious move for Chelsea where Sonia wants her DM to be excellent in possession.
