This morning a stranger in the airport said, “Congrats on your induction!” Which reminded me to tell you guys, I’m being inducted to the 2020 International Sports Hall of Fame!
Thank you Randy Couture and Fairfax Hackley!
I haven’t processed this evening yet. But I am so incredibly inspired and moved by everything. The King Center and Dr. Bernice King will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to the King family for making me the 2020 Higher Ground award recipient.
Training once again for the ultimate climb: Mt. Everest. It's not going to be easy, but the reward of standing at the highest point on earth will be worth it.

Easily, one of my proudest accomplishments. Even though we only made it to the South Summit (this time 😉) so many lives have been changed because of the Everest climb and my climbing for a cause project. Thanks to everyone who has supported my documentary. I can’t wait to share!
At church this morning, the sermon was on starting 2020 with a clean slate by practicing forgiveness. I started by forgiving

I gave Everest Hell, and she gave it right back. More details to come soon, but time and oxygen wasn’t in our favor. We spun at 8684 m. (28,490 ft). Tough call being so close to the top, but it wasn’t worth anyone’s…
Happy 244 Birthday, Marines! From 2 of the 3 generations of female Marines in my family, and Lt Col Dick Merritt. 🇺🇸 Keep making our uniform look good and giving our country’s enemies hell! Bad day to have to be on my crutches. Hold my beer, ladies and gents!

Thread: 4/24-27 These last few days have been all about dialing in my prosthetic systems. Ensuring my team knows how to make adjustments, move with me and react in emergencies. Anup and Kami turned into engineers and prosthetists overnight.

I woke up today. Sat on the porch. Had a beer after lunch and watched my dog play by the river... Life is so incredibly good. Simple is good. Don’t take it for granted.
It's okay if you stumble along the way to achieving your new year's resolutions - the important thing is to get back up and keep going. Don't let setbacks discourage you, and remember to be kind to yourself.

When the rubber hits the road... I suck. 😂 Running has by far been my biggest challenge on a prosthetic. Kudos to my above knee amputee runners — it truly is an art form.

Having to turn around, I embraced a mix of emotions - pride, relief, and anticipation - knowing I could still pursue my passion with intact limbs and the love of my family. I’m grateful to be back.

I’m a proud veteran. Even more so, proud to be an American. Thank you to our Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders. Day in and day out, you step up to protect us and our communities. Midland Police Department and those who share your badge, thank you. 🖤💙
Anyone with old and unused prosthetics, please contact me! I would love to recycle them for you. Let’s get some kids on their own two feet for Christmas!
Today I am grateful for the opportunity to get my legs worked on. It's a reminder of the progress I've made and the resilience of the human body. I’m really excited to be out and about and enjoy the simple things in life. Every step forward is a victory.

Instead of thanking a Veteran for their service tomorrow, take a moment of silence for those we lost during their service to our country. 🇺🇸❤️ To my Veteran friends, check in on each other.
For those of you dealing with a bully, remember the best revenge is a smile. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own flaws.

Good news from the team: we feel great and have clear skies ahead. We've had a change in our original plans due to the rope fixers finishing early. Skipping Lobuche, we're headed straight to base camp today.
