DEAR INTERNET..why do coaches use complicated terminology trying to sound more knowledgeable than others? Seems some coaches on the internet are all about getting one up over others, slamming peoples views or session ideas. Let's be coaches, as the legendary Bill Shankly put it..
When some people coach possession common phrases you'll hear is "spread out" "use the spaces" "Make the pitch bigger". Interesting when you study best practices of possession based football they shorten spaces, less risk in passes & control during transition two examples of why.
Guardiola accepts players will not be happy before & after games if not selected. He builds an environment where players performance in training is what decides match day selections. This way players don't carry sulky attitudes with them into training when they are not selected.
