It’s just the way that Ashley was focused on herself and her wants/needs, meanwhile Tim was only worried about Lucy’s thoughts/feelings. And Lucy went to Tim’s side as soon as she could.
So of course we know which ship is endgame here. Spot the major difference. 😬🤭
not only did jay immediately soften his body language & gentle his voice, but he realized that he doesn’t know “the half of” what hailey’s going through. he apologizes, & reassures her that he’s on her side. all while hailey has the courage to be vulnerable w/him. 🥺❤️

bravo to melissa o’neil for bringing the subtlety in facial expressions to this scene of the rookie. you can see lucy’s thoughts & feelings written all over her face — speaking for her when words fail in those smaller moments.
Can we just take a second to not only acknowledge Tracy Spiridakos’ brilliant acting skills but also the way in which Hailey Upton is so relatable in this moment? She wasn’t 100% confident, but she said how she felt anyway. Brave.
remember when hailey was a total badass work wife & opened her dumbass but well-intentioned husband’s — jay — truck & borrowed his rifle to save his life because i do and it was fantastic
Melissa is so real for this 😅 also shoutout to
@CauseRSisEpic
for doing the ChrisChen edit for a bit of closure - they were good for what they were (but Chenford’s endgame)
tracy spiridakos has been such a great addition to chicago pd. her costars praise her, her fans adore her, & she’s so gracious about it all. she is the human epitome of light & sunshine. she deserves all the appreciation. 🤗💛
I just need a moment because the fact that Lucy feels comfortable enough to talk to Tim about it like they’re such good friends (which they are!) goes to show how far they’ve come in this relationship they have with each other.
