After entering a residential area in Florida a 400 pound bear was shot with a tranquilizer dart. The bear fled into the ocean. He soon became drowsy, began to flounder. Despite the weight, Adam Warwick; a biologist with the Wildlife Commission, dragged the bear safely to shore.

2012; 8 year old Matteo Walch had a close friendship with a colony of alpine marmots, normally shy of humans. Visiting the colony in Groslocker in the Austrian Alps each year, they remember him, run to his side, gather around the gentle boy. The love and affection truly genuine.

2022; Mark Cardenaz took in an injured humming bird, nursing “Buzz” with Pedialyte and sugar for 6 weeks. After releasing Buzz back into the wild, the story did not end there. Every year the bird flies from South America back to Cardenaz’s home in Georgia and lands in his hand.

2016, Joao Pereira De Souza rescued a South American Magellanic Penguin covered in oil, near death, on a Brazil beach. Every year, after an 8000 km migration, the bird would seek out and meet with Joao on the same beach. The visits ended in 2020. Joao still waits for his friend.

India 1952, cheetahs were declared extinct due to hunting and loss of habitat. There are less than 7,000 adult cheetahs left in the wild globally. August 2022, eight big cats from Namibia arrived in India. The hope is to restore them back into the wild and improve biodiversity.

Polar bears have increased in number due to greater restrictions on commercial and sport hunting and more thoughtful conservation, relocation efforts. At one time on average 800 polar bears were killed every year. Due to environment, the bears are merely surviving, not thriving.

In #Ukraine Ludmila Kyrichenko, 74, gave her food to her 94 year old neighbour. Food that she herself had just been given. Ludmila is alone with barely any food, her home in ruin. Only the most generous heart can give away all they have. Humanity can be beautiful. Pray for them.

Wind turbines kill more than 1.1 million birds each year, have injured and killed peope when blades snap and fall. Bladeless wind turbines are a relatively new technology. Not requiring concrete foundations or access roads, completely recyclable at the end of their lifespan.

Pigs are a highly intelligent species. More intelligent than dogs. When LuLu's owner had a heart attack the animal realized something was wrong and disrupted traffic by stopping cars and shrieking to get the attention of passers-by. LuLu saved her owner's life. #savetheplanet

In the Syrian war Ambulance driver Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel stayed to tend the wounded and his neigbours cats. Despite his own grief and loss the love of this man caused more cats to come to him. Soon others joined his cause making a sanctuary and a clinic to care for the cats.

Guide dog Salty and Omar Rivera were on the 71st floor when the World Trade Centre was hit in 2001. Omar tried to save his dog, sending him down the stairwell, but Salty returned in the heat and smoke to rescue Omar. Selflessness, love, empathy for all creates a beautiful world.
