Bridge inspections have begun on the George Rogers Clark bridge. Engineers are using a snooper truck to initially assess conditions under the deck. Daytime inspections will also take place tomorrow. The bridge is still closed to traffic.

TRAFFIC ALERT FOR I-65 MOTORISTS - LG&E had to turn off the power in downtown Louisville near the Kennedy & Lincoln bridges because rising water from the Ohio River was getting up into their switch box. This has affected all lighting on the Kennedy & Lincoln bridges.

Crews will be pothole patching along various portions of the interstates in Jefferson County between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day this week. If you see one of our crews, please use caution while traveling through their work zone!

Our state crews in Bullitt, Franklin, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties will remain past their regular shifts and work until 12am Wed, Feb 1, or until the next winter weather🌬️ system passes. We continue to monitor routes and are on standby. 🧵

Repair & reinforcement work on the Singing Bridge in Frankfort is finished! Contractors fixed damage done to the bridge during a crash. Additionally, work to reinforce truss members with new steel was done. Because of this, the Bridge's weight limit has been increased to 9-tons.

We would like to welcome the newest honorary members of our @KYTC team. The Goose that had been nesting outside our office hatched its babies earlier this week. Kourosh N. snapped this picture of the goslings leaving the nest – safely. We did not have to install a goose crossing.

Some of our D5 @KYTC snowfighting crews will come on duty at midnight to monitor routes & treat them as needed. Precip ends early, but temps are going to plummet to the teens. So any moisture remaining on the roadway will freeze. Drivers please reduce your speed! #kywx

With all of the rain we've had today, debris along the interstates is clogging some drains. Our crews are working quickly to get them cleared so water can flow away from the roadway, especially before the temps drop below freezing. #kywx
