Even the Busan Blackout cinematic me and @pistonfx_ made was initially a gameplay concept where EMP would visually impact the map, paired with a talent allowing her to hack and manipulate various props to control the battlefield, but it kinda evolved into a cinematic in the end

Never got around to it, but after setting up the rigs to animate this Kiriko emote, I wanted to do a talent where a downed Kiriko player could sacrifice their ultimate to have the Kitsune revive Kiriko as opposed to another player doing it

Was working on this unfinished "Disarm" talent for JQ where she'd use her arm magnet to pull weapons away from enemies, the name was a pun because Nulltroopers' weapons are mounted to their arms, so she'd literally have to "disarm" them. Did 2 versions after not liking the first

still reeling from all the features at blizzcon but this is def one of the highlights for me, seeing enemy heroes appear as choreo events in story missions. always thought we wouldnt see them outside cutscenes since we obviously cant kill them. this is exactly my kind of thing!

Another favorite of mine is the death animations. Instead of an instant ragdoll, the units have set animations for stumbling, spiraling out of the air, and even a rigid fall after being frozen. Probably unpopular but I also love the cam shake for events like artilleries dying

Another idea I had was for her healing ofuda to fly out of her hand out of her control, and after attempting to catch them for a bit, they'd reveal themselves as the fox taking control, before Kiriko then "tackle hugs" her (4/5)

I really liked the torii-esque design of that bench from Hanamura and how it fits the visuals from her ultimate. I was also really excited to rig and animate that bench forming itself with the individual planks, think Encanto vibes or how Torb's turret builds itself (2/5)

@hipxng the boxes and ground plane exist to give a sense of perspective and so you can tell the difference between the character moving the camera shaking (with a completely plain background it could look like the character is shaking instead or something)

Issue was that I ran into trouble with the acting choices feeling less natural, and the simple double stretch from the final version was too cute to replace. Removing the bench also means a player would be able to do it anywhere without forcing a pre-determined seat (3/5)

give me animation ideas! could be anything from genuine abilities/talents to memes, just keep in mind ideas like "tracer can slow down time" sound cool, but don't require any new animations outside the game. also can't do stuff that heavily relies on particle fx :(
