The trooper card system is a genuinely good addition to Ishin. It spices up the combat by a lot and prevents the gameplay from getting stale. Next to that, it's fun to use, wacky as hell and fits perfectly in the tones of these games. I will die on this hill.

I cannot overstate how incredibly, wonderfully fun Like a Dragon Gaiden's arena is. Hands down the best arena in the franchise. It's like the ultimate love letter to it before (perhaps temporarily) going back to turn-based gameplay for 8.

Kiryu's gadgets seem to have unlimited uses but am not entirely sure. This goes for the spider (the wires), serpent (rocket shoes), and the firefly (cigarette bomb). The hornets (drones) seemed a bit slower though. Still I'm not 100% sure.
