I moved to Utah in 2009, and it has become my new home. I'm happy to live here and to build a company here. It's not perfect; I miss Caribbean Food and exceptional pizza, but I love the outdoors, family focus, entrepreneurial spirit, and great people.
I don't write very much Python but I've pair programmed with people who have a handle on the language and read through source code and it's clear that knowing the standard library pays dividends. This is a nice blog post on the topic

Today is a rough one. My mom taught me to believe in myself, holds my head up when I fail and is the first one to celebrate me when I suceded. Watching her health decline suddenly and dramatically over the last 12 months has weighed heavily on me.

I’m learning that web apps I signed up for 10 years ago and haven’t provided me any value since care about Black issues and share their care in thoughtful emails.
I started bringing my own markers the last time I was on the market because I interviewed somewhere with bad markers and didn’t end up finishing my algorithm implementation when the interviewers spent 5 minutes looking for markers and didn’t get the job.
I’ve been lower energy than usual, and I thought I was sick or something. Then I remember I lost my mom just a few weeks ago and it’s probably okay to nit put my foot all the way to the ground on the pedal just yet .
