I feel like the biggest error the Pac-12 made was believing that the numbers in the Big Ten deal somehow applied to them. They had the same deal on the table that the Big 12 took, thought they could get more & came up empty. Geoff is right, QUITE the fumble!

I know Locked On hosts who work at law firms, hospitals & radio stations. All of them work their asses off to put out content 5+ days a week for the fanbases of the team/school they cover. A lot of them do it BECAUSE they are fans (not CONNECTED media) & still do a great job

2 assumptions 1) Yormark believes that the Big 12’s strength is as a NATIONAL conference. For that to work teams needs to play everyone as much as possible 2) The unprotected rivalries/potential rivalries don’t rate well enough for the league to go out of their way to keep them

I cannot think of a time where a coach went after another coach at their school like this. I know Kentucky had the Stoops-Cal thing, but that was over whether or not Kentucky is a basketball school. This is much more serious

Pac-12 board meeting was "positive", per a source. The quote I got included the phrase "excited and aligned." Why hold another meeting? Some members of the Pac-12 CEO Group need to get final approval. More soon.
