now the largest Greek Named storm ever. Watching this Major hurricane track toward Nicaragua. After that, it could move back over water and potentially impact the US
Additional video showing the water retreating. Previous video was from Tampa Bay. Assuming this is the same? The wind is pushing all the water out, be careful once the storm moves on shore, the wind direction will change and all that water will move back in.

INCREDIBLE precipitation for the west coast. Big problem here is California had one of the largest wildfire outbreaks in 2020 which means flooding is likely in all those burn scars. The good news is this will drastically help the drought.

now a strong

The Rolling Fork/Silver City tornado has received a preliminary EF-4 rating. We still have a great amount of information to process, and we will provide additional details on this tornado as they are finalized.
Heat Advisories for millions of folks as temps sizzle. The main problem will be overnight temperatures which could stay in the 80s where we have the EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING (pink).

After an INSANE winter season last year....This year has been somewhat underwhelming. That's about to change as we have a series of storms that will push across the Sierra Nevada and bring several feet of snowfall.

Scary situation for SE Alaska....Juneau picked up 4.93" of rain which crushed the daily record of 1.44"set back in 97'.
Juneau averages 6.09" of rain in Dec. That means they saw 80% of their monthly (Dec) rain in 24 hrs.
It's also their 2nd rainiest day ever record.
@wxmattjones
WEATHER RECORD!! We now have picked up more snow this month than we have in the last 50+ years! February 2019 is now in the number 5 spot of snowiest months EVER in Seattle. Records date back to the late 1800s.

Eastern NC getting hammered right now with big rain. Some of the heavy rain bands are working their way into Virginia. We've already had 9+ inches of rain between FL, GA, SC, and now seeing those gauges in NC getting hit.

We still have roughly 90% of hurricane season left. Amazing to think that we're just getting started since we've already seen so many named storms. Remember, in 2005 we passed all the alphabetic names and had to move to the Greek alphabet. Will that happen again?
The snowpack in California is not too strong right now -- roughly 60% of average. So these big spring-like storms are exactly what they need to help play catch up.
Texas getting HAMMERED with rainfall. The Gulf Coast is going to have a lot of flooding take place with more rainfall ahead. This area has already picked up 2-6+ inches of rain the last 2 days with another half a food likely.
