By the summer of 2022, Bayern will no longer have U9 and U10 teams as the club recognises the value of giving such young kids the chance to play many different sports. Entry will then be U11 - still a bit young I think - but a huge step forward.

To his credit, Nagelsmann recognises when it’s not working and reacts. Went with Can and Sané to start, it didn’t work, and swaps them for Andrich and Wirtz at halftime. Has a good sense of game flow and reacts quickly. Have always liked and respected that in a coach. A skill.

Hope Dortmund have a plan for after this group because that time is coming soon. Bellingham, Haaland, Akanji now playing at level beyond this team. Reus and Hummels both 32. Trophy or not, window is closing.

Huge credit to Marco Reus. I thought he and his body looked done earlier in the season but the way he has come back and played in the last few weeks, and particularly tonight, is a credit to him as a person and a player. Fantastic.
