wrapping up the bulk of draft coverage with my first 53 projection, featuring 8 draft picks and 2 udfas.
i'll also throw in some of my favorite articles from the weekend below.

fresh off the plane from a road playoff game at midnight standing on a barstool. I know he did this just a week ago but idk if it’ll ever strike me as normal. No one in his position embraces the community like this.
Cincy will be the AFC North champion, but won't have the benefits of being the champ (with a home playoff game), but will have a harder schedule next year, and potentially a later draft pick. It's not perfect, assume they are not pleased. Alas.
the bengals have won more games in the past 2 years than all but 2 teams. the respect they received in that timeframe did not match that accomplishment.
the bengals have nothing to apologize for.
Tee Higgins pays off his bet to Gamecock Hayden Hurst after South Carolina beat Clemson. Higgins chimes in "ask him who won" when we played in college.
this is it. i've finally realized what it's like to be a jordan defender. only difference is aj green has been retired for 10 MONTHS.
all the ignorant children need to watch this or stay silent.
there are 3 sides to this. one, people who know kayvon abandoned all technique and put himself in an awful spot, two, his coaches who will tell him the same thing, three, people being loud wrong because an unfortunate injury happened.
some visuals i made from their breakdown. this is what gets baked into the pff grades, the inferior talent doesn't diminish burrow's craft.
his brain breaks schemes.
I don't always listen to other podcasts, but
@robertmays
and
@Nate_Tice
killed their segment on Burrow/the Bengals on The Athletic Football show's Week 16 recap. You'll like it!
it’s bizarre how non-bengals media loves ja’marr chase and then suddenly doesn’t when he’s mentioned with the bengals bc he doesn’t play o-line. meanwhile i’ve seen no one think twice about the dolphins taking him when their best tackle is worse than both the bengals’ tackles.
the third-and-11 is gonna be rightfully highlighted and remembered, but it's wild that the three third down conversions prior to it all ended at the sticks, with each one harder than the last.
so tremendously clutch.
No update regarding La’el Collins, other than he’s still here. This could roll over into tomorrow morning. Or not.
As Frank Pollack said earlier, “we’ll see what happens.”
No one knows how this game will end, but this passing game is being called completely different than last week. Jake browning is getting all the credit and he deserves some.
The play caller deserves just as much.
should've been drafted in 2014. should've started before 2017. lasted eight years despite several injuries, cuts, and took a first-rounder's starter spot at a position he never played before. and a phenomenal human being.
he's a starter if he plays like his post bye-week self.
Who muthafuxin Dey!!! Great game
@Bengals
that stadium got quiet real quick. There were a ton of Orange in the stands. Can't wait to make the trip to Kansas City next week!! Who Dey!
eli apple had some legitimately great games for the bengals and that will probably only be remembered by the team's fans. however you can get yourself to play confident is your business, but the way apple did it...i hope he finds another opportunity
no starting cornerback is getting targeted at a higher rate than chidobe awuzie.
he's second in coverage grade.
to be at the top of both lists at the same time is absurd. like 2009 revis absurd.
The bengals have a grown up offense for a grown up QB not only bc it works for him and utilizes his abilities, it’s sustainable against most defenses.
Monday night showed the value of dumbing things down more often.
The answer for 2024 is combining both approaches in harmony.
It wasn’t just a few titans fans. Phil simms got dressed in a 3 piece suit to say the bengals were a finesse team. Well this week’s video is gonna show all the times the titans got finessed by the bengals’ defense kicking their two-toned keister.
