The rugby world was at Alex Wootton’s feet when he made the 2020-21 Pro14 Dream Team. But he has only managed 300 minutes this season. At 28 he is so young to retire, especially only a month after scoring a European hat-trick at the Sportsground. Best of luck in the future.

Anyone else find the Joe Schmidt bashing pointless? He brought Ireland on a lot and had a great team in 2015 but injuries derailed it. In 2019 they just had no plan b and the team looked tired. Still going to be very hard for this current team to get into a quarter-final.

Looks like Jack Carty will only be kept in Ireland squad as emergency cover incase Carbery or Sexton get injured. Surly it’s only fair he is let play with Connacht on Saturday if Farrell isn’t putting him in the 23 or is emergency cover more important?? #rugby #IREvITA

You would swear she was giving it out of her own pocket. “I have secured” makes it sound like it was completely down to her. Politicians trying to use sport for their own benefit is infuriating.

Looks highly likely that London Trailfinders formally Ealing Trailfinders will merge and take the place of the Ospreys in the URC as part of the Welsh Rugby Union. Fifteen minutes from Heathrow Airport, be super to have a team based in London for URC fans. #rugby

This past weekend was some of the best quality rugby ever on a European weekend. Rugby is the most entertaining it has ever been. The marketing/tv product within rugby is not strong enough to grow the sport. If Netflix can get the series right .... #InvestecChampionsCup
