@ask_aubry Tbh I feel sorry for the husband as he probably thought he was doing a good thing, giving his wife a lie in.

@JennBridge @ask_aubry To be honest I feel sorry for Pick Mes who try to pretend that the husband didn't note this important bonding moment for himself, that he was minimising for her "for her" boke.

@JennBridge @ask_aubry I’m torn about it for exactly this. The really nice thing would have been to let his wife rest and distract their toddler with breakfast, but he didn’t think. I have a 2y and a 4y and I think this year has been the best yet for my 4y. The magic is just starting for her/them

@JennBridge This was my impression. But I may be giving the father too much benefit of the doubt. 2 hours trying to keep a toddler quiet, and distracted is an eternity. Giving the mother 2 extra hours of sleep in any other context would be seen as a good thing. I see her pov though.

@JennBridge @ask_aubry That is crazy! It is Christmas, it is a big deal. I would be devastated if my husband had done this!

@JennBridge @ask_aubry Yeah, she will have plenty of mom/son moments, why is she making it a competition between her & her husband? He let her sleep because he knew she needed it & there will be plenty of gifting moments with their kids in the future. She ruined her Christmas...

@JennBridge @ask_aubry That might be if it he apologized and said that, instead he said what a beautiful moment he had, almost like he was bragging what he had and she didnt

@JennBridge @ask_aubry Hang on, he’s allowed his wife a lay in!!! Are you for real? They’re his kids too, I bet yr the type to praise fathers for “helping” with their own kids! No I don’t feel sorry for someone who should be helping with their own children! He knew what he did & did it anyway!

@JennBridge @ask_aubry This must be the Karen thread cause my wife would be so happy about all of this and thanking for the sleep...is this even real...with kids that young (I have 5 and did most of the night-time with feedings by the way Karen...) I guess first 2 y/o not checked into reality yet...

@JennBridge @ask_aubry Nah, comment about the lovely father son moment suggests he knew exactly what he was doing. Sounds like one of those dads who's jealous of the amount of attention their own kids get from their wife & vice versa. It was an 'Alpha male' move to assert dominance in the relationship.

@JennBridge @ask_aubry Then he could have had a bonding moment with his son while making breakfast for his wife to be ready when she came down. There's nothing wrong with saying ' we have to wait for mommy.'
