I will post many variations of this between now and then
Kyle Schwarber earned Wawa lovers an additional spell of discounted hoagies, and now he’s earned free tacos for the entire nation. There isn’t a better baseball player perhaps ever. And there never will be.
Arsene Wenger made me late tweeting but today marks 12 years of cancer freedom. Every day is a gift. Love to all. Thoughts and power to anyone currently fighting.
Who wants a bite of Santa’s Yumnut™? Our yum yum-doughnut hybrids have been given a Christmassy makeover, with delicious flaky pastry layers and a sweet Santa’s belt topping. Find them in our in store bakery.
Today marks 13 years cancer free. My rebirth. Another day to look at my many gnarly scars, give infinite thanks to the universe and offer love/support to all those who have been impacted, have fought the fight or have lost.
Farewell, Argentina. You have a wild-eyed coach, a brilliant star surrounded by players that can’t possibly keep up, a bad defense and a third-string goalkeeper. And you really delivered the drama. I shall miss you.
Today is 15 years cancer-free. I stare at the three-foot scar daily, a gnarled map of memories. I told a story about my odyssey for ice chips. Maybe again later. Point is: Find your cup of ice in this world. Love to all: the survivors, the fighters, the glory we lived and lost.
Joe Bryant, 12, is on a mission to build every Bundesliga team out of Lego, though it's a difficult artform: "My dad knocked over part of Cologne trying to repair a brick and my mum dropped the hoover on Augsburg. Thankfully, I fixed both."
Another year down: 14 years cancer-free today. Not a day passes without self-reflection, scar checks and infinite gratitude for the fight. Boundless love, solidarity and support to all impacted by cancer, those loved ones who fought hard or are still fighting hard.
Need to know more about the piped-in crowd noise at Dortmund-Bayern:
- is it like a minute loop they just keep replaying?
- did they make a whole mixtape for various situations?
- which Dortmund/Bundesliga game was it taken from or is it just a generic/composite of “fans"
been waiting forever to do a “some personal news” thing and finally, here it is
I WILL BE ON

Made it to 18 years cancer-free — my second life — today. This past year has been a profound one, my life expanded and enriched in ways I never imagined, and it all began on that first day of knowing I could live. Love to everyone. Keep fighting ❤️
Three Clasicos in one month seems wild in 2023, but in 2011, Real Madrid played Barcelona four times in 18 days. Here's the story of those fiery games, told by those who were there.

Just realized the 2021-22 Champions League kicks off today. Best of luck to Folgore (San Marino), Prishtina (Kosovo), HB Torshavn (Faroe Islands) and Inter Club d'Escaldes (Andorra) as they begin this inspiring, but futile, journey together.
Was overwhelmed with work yesterday, but will be celebrating 16 years cancer-free today and into the weekend. Living full of gratitude for every single day, no matter how difficult.
Photorealistic representation of Alexander the Great (r. 336-323 BC) as he may have appeared in life.
Reconstruction is based on archaeological evidence including busts, coin portraits and statuary, as well as descriptions of Alexander in historical accounts.

I love Roger Federer for much the same reasons I love Andrea Pirlo: the pair exist on a seemingly different plane from the rest of us. Effortless cool and the talent to match
“When he was 10 or 11, we dreamed of him making the first division in Paraguay.”

visits Miguel Almiron’s family home and talks to his coaches about his journey from Asuncion to Atlanta:
Impossible to follow a

game on social media because 60 percent of people are just not happy and the rest are parsing for modest, incremental, virtually undetectable progress
Last time Liverpool won the league, I was seven. My parents couldn't co-parent, post-divorce. Soon after, my father-figure went to prison. It changed my life. Football, soccer, etc (you name it) was, and still is, the means of staying afloat. Even now. It always will be, too.
It’s gonna be weird when Lionel Messi retires. Truly the best. Struggling to think of any player who could provide such similar communal moments of awe, wonder, profanity and appreciation with every goal
Iceland coach Heimir Hallgrimsson: "You can't help but love Iceland. We haven't attacked anyone; we haven't been at war with anyone. We have only had the Cod War and nobody got hurt there. It's a pretty little nation and pretty people in general. You can't help but love us.
Made it to 17 years, cancer-free. Feels like yesterday still, and yet also a lifetime ago. Grateful. Sending love and resilience to anyone who's fought or fighting, and to anyone impacted by cancer's brutality. We are all united.
Fun to see Petr Cech (Arsenal) denying Olivier Giroud (Chelsea) a goal knowing that the same thing’s happened before when they were Petr Cech (Chelsea) and Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)
