It’s tough to say goodbye . CTV Vancouver has been like family for me for the past 15 years - countless memorable moments shared with incredibly talented colleagues/friends - past and present. 969 Robson will always be a part of me. Grateful to the viewers and

Thank you
@PancouverMedia
for wanting to share my Dad’s story . He faced barriers without bitterness or resentment. He inspired me to follow in his footsteps. 🙏🏾 And he would have been a damn fine Canadian correspondent if it was a different time.
Aquilini’s should replicate process of Mike Gillis hiring. Find a GM, let GM evaluate personnel including head coach and then decide on said coach (remember Gillis famously grilling AV in Vegas). Tougher to do in-season hence delay in figuring out what to do.

RIP John Ashbridge - a broadcasting legend
@CKNW
and of course the long-time public address announcer for
@Canucks
. Always had a friendly hello in the press box . A true gentleman and professional . Will always remember that unmistakable voice. 🎙
“Our viewers aren’t ready for someone like you.” That’s what my Dad was told during a job interview at a prominent Vancouver TV station in the 70s. Here are his thoughts.
Derek Dorsett:
"I’m devastated by the news. It will take a long time for this to truly sink in. As hard as it was to hear, Dr. Watkins’ diagnosis is definitive. There is no grey area, and it gives me clarity to move forward."

Well done
@canucks
- energized an entire province with that gutsy playoff bubble run. Now enjoy reuniting with the families. Burning off-season question now - who do your protect in 🥅??
Just shocked.
@botchford

One of my all-time sports memories - as a 13 year old watching Victoria’s George Pakos score for Canada in Newfoundland to qualify for 86 World Cup. 36 years later - can’t believe we are on the cusp to do it again 🇨🇦 🍁. What a team

Will always cherish the time he invited us to his house to chat about his incomparable career - got to see where the magic happened! Jim Taylor exuded ALL the qualities of a world class journalist/human being. Thank you for being such a massive part of my childhood.

Little too young to idolize Pele. Diego was my first true soccer superstar - this goal in 1986 forever etched in my mind . That and the 🖐🏼 of God

RIP to the legendary trailblazer Sidney Poitier - some may remember the scenes of him at Robson Square and

What is common among news anchors CTV’s Jason Pires, Ria Renouf of News 1130 and CBC’s Michelle Eliott? Yes, they are all

While we denounce the label “you people” and Mr. Cherry’s intolerable remarks , a reminder of the usage of “tolerance” - ethnic groups, cultures,
immigrants should never be “tolerated” .
