Let me try to be clear on this: There are NO (AS IN ZERO) situations where a parent/fan going up to an official after (or during) a game to dispute a call is acceptable or justified behavior. Doesn't matter how bad you think the call was. IT IS NOT JUSTIFIED OR ACCEPTABLE!!!!!

Very emotional game but unfortunately a @Post307Baseball had a parent that met the umpires at their vehicles after the game questioning a call. We have a tough time getting umpires already. This type of interaction unacceptable at any level.

A @LancerWBB note that does not involve 3-pointers: Senior Hannah Williams ( #22 ) has made 14 straight free throws, dating back to the Concordia game on Dec. 14. Since a 1-4 against Briar Cliff on Nov. 20, Williams is 22-24 from the line. She is 29-36 on the season.

Going to try bringing up something Nebraska does without the SD lifers throwing a fit: At state basketball/FB/VB each school gets to bring its pep band, if they so choose. Instead of random music on the PA the bands take turns playing. Have heard some good bands this week.

93-90 @MountMartyHoops victory over #20 St. Ambrose No, I don't know the last time MMC (RV) beat 2 ranked opponents in same week. ( #16 Jamestown Monday) But the last time MMC (10-2) had double-digit wins in a season was 2011-12 (11-18). Lancers are at #7 DWU on Wednesday.

My fellow 2020 @MMULancers inductees and I were supposed to be inducted June of 2020. Then COVID. We are happy to share the Oct. 15 (Friday before Homecoming) induction with the Class of 2021. And maybe, some time before then, I'll think about working on my speech.

The Yankton Bucks are ESD golf champs, 337 to 338 over Brookings. Gavin Haselhorst (3rd, 80), Michael Frick (t6, 82) & Austin Frick (t12, 87) earn all-ESD. Also for YHS, Landon Moe 88, Jimmie Cunningham 90, Simon Hacecky 90.

An interesting tidbit, that I'm sure someone else has already shared: Former @SDCoyotesWBB coach Amy Williams (Nebraska) and former @GoJacksMBB coach Scott Nagy (Wright St) each won their respective league's COY honor. So did their successors: @CoachDawnP and @coachotz
