On May 18, 2018, the South Carolina governor signed a new law prohibiting the requirement of MOC for hospital privileges and reimbursement. That makes 4 states with strong laws prohibiting MOC!!

Answer: 97% of VA hospitals are affiliated with academic centers. ACGME requires ABMS MOC™ to hold a faculty position at an academic affiliated hospitals.
