I know there was time when gay men had to cruise furtively to meet up with other gay men. But what is the justification nowadays for shagging in bushes? Is Tatch claiming shagging in public is a gay right?
Instead of liaising with local LGBT+ community,
@SouthwarkLabour
has got a COURT INJUNCTION to stop gay men cruising in
#BurgessPark
AND are committing eco vandalism by cutting down bushes, to INCREASE the likelihood that members of the public will see sex acts! HOMOPHOBIA!
@Huttoneer
The attraction is because it is public and because it is forbidden and there are plenty dogging sites which would attract the same attention, it's not homophobia. What it is is a wrong-headed solution, that just looks horrible, bushes are good. It'll only move somewhere else...
@SophiaPangloss
Are there dogging sites within London parks ? I don't know but my impression is they are fairly secluded places and lay-bys - not places where people walk.
@Huttoneer
If you can stomach reading it some people think that yes it should be. I don’t like this article from 2016 and disagree with it. But it exists.
@Huttoneer
Nostalgia is an english character trait: doesn't matter if what is being mourned is good or bad, or myth invented last Tuesday: if we used to do it for any reason it is promoted.
@Huttoneer
My local Facebook page complained about this recently near them. It is not only at night time it is happening during daylight hours when they are walking the dogs with their kids. They are sick of seeing naked men at it in the park. Get a motel/room kids don't need to see this.

@Tervenly13
Peter has some very worrying ideas about sex. One gets the impression he would love to live in a society where anyone can have sexual intercourse with anyone, regardless of age, imbalance of power or public decency. An utter lack of moral responsibility about sex.
@Huttoneer
For gods sakes. How about men stop having sex where any unsuspecting passer by can see them? Homophobia my arse. Don’t shag in public, it ain’t rocket science.
